Hi! My name is Becks. I’m a young pit-mix in search of my forever home. My name is Becks and I’m a young pit-mix, probably not even a year old yet.

I’m currently in the process of becoming my best self. My glow-up started December 18 in Folsom, LA when Ann and Andrea found me on the side of the road. I was a sad sight cowering on the road’s shoulder, cold, shivering, and scared. Ann stopped her car and Andrea gently encouraged me to come to her. Betting on a wish, I cautiously approached and we loaded up in the car. She held me in her lap unt

il we reached Northlake Veterinary Hospital even though I was covered in fleas and ticks and smelled really bad. At Northlake Veterinary Hospital in Mandeville, LA Dr. Linn did a full examination and found I had some health issues that needed attention. I had Demodex mange and a bacterial skin infection, intestinal parasites, a uterine infection, and heartworms. I spent three days in the hospital and Andrea has been my foster since then. I am making a wonderful recovery and in search of my forever home. While Andrea has been a great foster, she already has two small dogs and because I love playing, sometimes they get overwhelmed. So, I need a new foster family, or better yet, a forever home. I have a lot of energy and enjoy playing with other dogs and my toys. I was already a well-mannered pup, but I'm in obedience training at ABC Dogs (Ann Becnel Companion Dogs) and I'm learning some awesome new skills. Ann is also offering free training for one year with my adoption to make sure I have the best manners. Truly, I am the sweetest pup and will be an excellent dog for a loving home.

I started Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class with Ann Becnel Companion Dogs LLC in early January and I'm doing great! My adoption comes with a complimentary (FREE) 1 year of training! This picture is from my first CGC class - everyone was impressed 😎

The first night I wasn't sure I was safe, but when I woke up in a warm house and got a delicious breakfast and lots of treats, I started to believe that maybe I would be ok. I was given a warm bath because I was still kind of dirty and did a great job in the tub. P.S. I loved my post-bath T-shirt and still play with my plushy bunny toy.

I spent 3 nights at the vet hospital getting treated for a lot of different health problems. I was underweight and covered in ticks and fleas, I had demodex mange and a secondary bacterial skin infection, a uterine infection, intestinal parasites, and heart worms. I received treatment for all of my health issues and I'm doing great!

The day they found me it was very cold and I was sick and scared. I don't think I would have survived the weekend because a hard freeze was coming through. So many cars passed by me, but the right people chose to help me. These pictures were taken just a couple of hours after I was rescued right before I walked into Northlake Veterinary Hospital.
