As we approach the excitement of New Year’s Eve, it’s essential for pet parents to consider their furry companions and their well-being amidst the festivities.

Loud noises from fireworks and celebrations can be extremely stressful for animals. Here are some tips to help both pets and their owners have a calm and enjoyable New Year’s:

Exercise for Relaxation: Encourage your customers to engage in activities with their pets during the day. A good workout can help expend excess energy, making it easier for pets to rest later. Suggest going for a long walk, playing fetch, or using stimulating toys for cats.
Administer CBD: Fireworks and loud noises can be upsetting for pets, but Pet Releaf’s functional Stress Releaf oil and its calming and relaxing properties provide a natural way to combat holiday stress. While the time it takes CBD to kick in may vary based on the pet’s breed, size, and metabolism, it is beneficial to start administering early. Recommend giving CBD in the early afternoon to allow ample time for it to take effect before New Year’s festivities begin. I absolutely LOVE ❤️ this!!

Y'all. Check this out. We had traveling cello player Cheryl Wallace come into the rescue building to play cello for the pets. It was beautiful and brought me to tears. The dogs were confused at first, but then the serene sounds of her cello playing calmed them, and they began to lay down and watch her play. You know how loud it can get if you have ever been in our main kennel room. To see a stranger go in there and have all the dogs settle so quickly was amazing. Cheryl generously travels around the country playing to shelter pets, and we are incredibly grateful that she chose to serenade our rescues. She also left us some CDS and provided us with CD players so we could continue their music therapy year-round. The world needs more people like her.
