Comso earned both his novice dock diving title and his Junior dock diving title and qualified for regionals in the junior division this past weekend. We won’t be attending because of plans we already had for the year, but super cool anyway! Professional pics of both boys to follow.

Roux and Cosmo went out to Lacey’s Legacy Riding camp at the Poydras Barn to teach the kids about odor detection today. Lots of questions from the kids and maybe even a few future police officers in the bunch!

Cosmo is officially NNDDA certified for narcotics! We had a long weekend of training in Alabama culminating with certification today in Florida. I couldn’t be more proud of this boy.

The boys had a wonderful weekend of Fast CAT and dock diving in Bush, LA. Cosmo leveled up his Fast CAT title to DCAT and Pluto earned his first ever title, Junior Diving. We’re impatiently waiting to share their professional photos with you as soon as they are published!

Hello! Welcome to Southern Cosmos K9! We are (left to right) Chantel with Pluto and Jennifer with Cosmo. We originally met circa 1998 and have been friends since. Cosmo came along in March 2022, changing the trajectory of all our lives. Jennifer started him in odor work at 16 weeks old and now he is a fully trained narcotics dog thanks to the paths that seemed to be carved because of him. Pluto came to Chantel in July 2023, beginning in odor work as a pup and is nearing time for him to find his target odor. We invite you to share our passion for these dogs and the adventures we share with them.
