Update on Mac, the sweet puppy with broken back legs! ❤️‍🩹 Thanks to the incredible team at Metairie Small Animal Hospital, Mac successfully underwent 3 surgeries to save his legs! Say hello to Sunshine— a blind kitty in search of a home! ☀️ Sunshine is a tender, sweet, one year old cat. She was found as a stray with one eye severely infected and the other ruptured, leaving veterinarians with no choice but to remove both eyes. Sunshine is incredibly resilient and has quickly relearned how to maneuver the world without vision. She can still eat, drink, play, jump on couches, and even use the litter box just like any other cat. Her favorite toys are anything with bells in them. While in a foster home, she’s still shown her adoration for people. She’ll seek out the closest human for loving pets and Sunshine will return the favor with headbutts. She’s been in foster with another cat. Due to her differences, if her future home had another cat the resident cat would need to be low-energy, submissive, or frankly one that doesn’t care about other animals. All through September Sunshine’s adoption fee is reduced to $100. This includes vaccines, microchip, spay, and negative FIV/FeLv/heartworm test.
