We are so happy and excited to welcome, all the way from Utah, Redstone Alpha Centauri! We've been admiring the Redstone herd for years now, and talking about adding a Redstone buck. Well, this year we did it! He has a pedigree absolutely loaded with production and type.
Dam Redstone Pony Bellatrix scored VEVV 87 as a yearling, and consistently milked 1200+ lbs before her untimely passing this year. A hardworking dairy goat that we would be thrilled to have a whole herd full of. Beautiful wide mammary with well extended and attached fore, a long and deep doe that looked just as pretty standing in the pasture as she would have set up in the show ring.
Sire's dam GCH (pending) Noall's Ark Caprice Des Dieux scored VEEE 91, ADGA Elite doe 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 99th percentile, what a doe. Milking over 1600lbs, with a jaw dropping mammary. With her capacity and tremendous area of attachment, it's easy to see how she could have a test high of 8lbs at 29 days in milk this year! She just might have the prettiest, most impressive mammary I've ever seen on a Nigerian, and it doesn't just look good either-- her performance in the milk pail, show ring, and linear appraisal speaks for itself. Caprice's dam is SGCH Redstone C Mimolette VVEE 90, another 1000+lb milker.
Alpha Centauri is linebred on the fabulous SG Redstone SF Dark Star VEEE 92, Breed leader, ADGA Elite doe 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and a 1200+lb milker in her own right. His sire, Bridgeport Farms Quillstarlord, is linebred on 2016 Reserve National Champion GCH Dragonfly IH Peregrine 1*M EEEE 91, 94th percentile for production, and herself a 1000+lb milker.

I feel bad even posting about this because so many people in our area were told they wouldn't get appraised this year (actually, we were told that too at first) and I know how disappointed everybody is.
Our appraisal date is August 5. Spectators are welcome, just let us know if you'd like to come and observe!

We have a REALLY nicely bred Nubian buck kid for sale.

His dam is Thistlemoor RMB Pink Lady. She appraised VVEE 88 as a 3yr old 2nd Freshener. (35 FUA, 38 RUH, 39 RUA) The appraiser couldn't stop saying good things about her mammary. We aren't on milk test unfortunately, but let me tell you, this girl MILKS! And she holds it late into her lactation too.

His sire is CH DKGH DG Reign Beau.
He is out of SGCH DKGH Royal Marc Let Her Reign VEEE 91. If you want to see gorgeous goats, give this guy a FB search and there will be oodles of daughters that are absolutely stunning!

This guy should make some really pretty babies!

Woohoo! Fall Creek DJ Cypress finally got his act together and bred Eliza today! He is such a mellow little guy and really wasn't showing a whole lot of interest in breeding so far, I didn't think we were going to get anybody bred to him this year. It didn't help that Eliza beat the snot out of him every time we put her in with him (though she would stand for the wether to mount her 🙄). I'm super excited to hopefully have Cypress babies next spring!

Apparently the hay tastes much better on the west side of the feeder.

The new buck kid and his wether buddy enjoyed running back and forth in the milk room with Azure this evening!

If baby goats can't make you smile, I dont know what could! 😁 The girls got to get out for a little while today. It's very wet here, so lots of mud, but there's a little bit of dry cement they can play on outside the shed. They enjoyed it very much!
