Kemba has been such an amazing addition to our family! We can’t thank Char Wills enough for bringing him into our lives. He loves exploring new places. He is very energetic and playful but loves sleeping in on a Saturday morning! He goes through tennis balls like they're tic tacs so we bought him a 100 ball pack to last him a few weeks😂 other than that he loves all his jolly balls, meeting up with our dog friends, and following me everywhere I go around the house. Thank you Char Wills!

AVAILABLE! Sascha!

6 year old owner surrender. She is very friendly! Perhaps could improve on her basic obedience, as most dogs can!

She has not been cat tested and is so new she is currently kenneled alone. Though during her walk/photo shoot she wasn’t reactive to the neighboring dogs.

She will be fully vetted and on preventatives before she goes to her new home.

AVAILABLE! ZENA!

ZENA is a retired breeding female about 6yrs old, and came in recently. Today she showed her shyness, but the staff indicated she is improving!

She was friendly with the resident cat, and has lived with dogs her whole life. She likely can handle herself. She was not reactive on her outing.

ZENA will be fully vetted and on preventatives before she goes home. She will be a sight to behold when her long coat fills back in.

AVAILABLE ! KODA!

KODA is a very engaging girl. Unfortunately she was found as a stray and remained unclaimed. She loves ball and impressed police officers with a her drive and agility. A job for her is not out of the question.

KODA barks at cats and has been with other dogs.

KODA will be fully vetted and on preventatives before she goes home.

This very handsome gentleman is Ceasar.

He is a retired breeding male about 6yrs old who came in yesterday. Today Ceasar showed that he walks well on a leash, knows sit, shake, and can catch treats tossed to him (most of the time).

Ceasar had a good cat meet, has been friendly with other dogs in passing, and was good with a dog-savvy toddler helping to walk him.

Ceasar will be fully vetted and on preventatives before he goes home.

Happy (belated) Gotcha Day to our beautiful girl, Angel! She was adopted the other day but was at the rescue so she could be spayed. Her family came to pick her up today, so she's on her way to her happy new home! Another successful week with adoptions, but still so many dogs at the rescue needing their forever homes. Please consider scheduling appointments if you're already approved.

Mari loving her new home and she lives laying with daddy, looking out the window at the deer and squirells, playing ball outside and chewing on her bone that she came with. She is doing really well and has adapted well to our family. We adopted her July 12th, 2024.

Ace has made himself at home! He is definitely getting spoiled and loved. I am not sure about his previous adopters as I do not think that dog has a mean bone in his body. Thank you again for waiving the adoption fee. It was spent on nummies.

Just wanted to reach out with an update on Simba adopted almost 6 months ago, and Katie adopted 4 1/2 years ago.

Simba is settling VERY nicely. He is a wonderful pup, full of energy, and living his best life.

Simba has brought the puppy out in 7 year old Katie! She is absolutely perfect in every way.

Simba and Katie are the best of friends that love to play together, romp in the yard together, rest together, take up as much of the bed as they can together, and get all the loving they can get together.

We love them both so much and are so grateful to Char-Wills for bringing us all together!! 🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺💜💙

We all want the best for our dogs. Here is a product that some of our volunteers are using for their dogs and finding it very helpful. The Nujoint DS is for dogs that have known hip issues, arthritis etc. There is also Nujoint that helps your dog stay healthy. Also Nuvet plus is an immune support, skin and coat, ears and eys etc. If you are interested in ordering the website is on the flyer and the order code so that Char Wills gets credit. Hello. We have had Joby one year in June. He is doing well. We lost our girl Jada in June. We got Joby because her health was failing. She hung in with him for another year. I believe getting him gave her drive to hang in. Joby has a friend Jethro that he goes for walks with and he enjoys playing in the goat pen

Jafar and Jasmine would really like to be adopted together.

These two came in as strays from Oley and were never claimed. Jasmine is outgoing and very sweet. She seems to like kids but is scared with certain movements from people so calm kids are preferred. Jafar is sweet but reserved. He's a gentle guy though who let us clean out his ears today (hence the flop).

These two inseparable sweethearts are about 4 years old or so. They're fully vetted and on preventatives. They are good with other dogs. Cats unknown but can be tested upon request.

Just wanted to reach out with an update! Today is Freyja’s (formally leylah) one year gotcha day! She has been doing wonderful. When I first brought her home she had pretty severe fear aggression to everyone but me. She is now weening off of her anxiety meds and doing better than ever! Even the vet is so proud of how far she’s come! She loves to do silly training and walk in the woods! She’s a chair thief and the best snuggle buddy in the world! Even has made some pack walk friends🥰

An update on Mari she is doing very well. We have had hers for over a month now and she has settled in very nicely. Right now Im working with her on fetch and bring the ball back and put it in my hand. Its been a week and progress is going good we are so happy we got her from Char-Wills best rescue I have ever been too. Right now she is shedding horribly I brush her everyday. She seems every happy here her are some pics you can put on the page

Special needs pup Freya says it's a zoomies/play with your stuffed elephant type of day! Somehow this special girl is still up for adoption... If you're looking for an awesome addition to your family I'm your girl! -I'm very intelligent, I learn quickly -once I'm comfortable with you I'm a huge cuddle bug -not very high energy -the rescue will be paying for my surgery to fix my birth defect but in the meantime I'm very comfortable with wearing diapers and I leave them on. If you're interested in me and not already approved fill out an application if you are approved make an appointment so my foster mom can bring me to the rescue for you to see how wonderful I am in person! Freya our special needs (Ectopic bladder) pup had the zoomies while at work with her foster mom. If you're looking to adopt a female look no further...Freya is all that & a bag of Pup-peroni! Freya wears her panties (for her bladder leaks) like a champ, stands well to have her panties checked, wiped off with baby wipes, and put back on, knows her basic commands, is housebroken, is a huge love bug & loves to cuddle

Thought I'd just send this along...Bocephus and I right now! Bishop is now "Beau". He's coming along well-he really had no idea what play or fetch or walk on lead or no chase cats, dogs, squirrels or people was but, happily, with the aid of freezie pops and cheese cubes, he's come around to mama's way of thinking! He is enrolled in Sit Means Sit to begin more intensive training in two weeks. For now we're just falling in love. Meet Ruckus! This fellow was a stray who came into a shelter before arriving at our breed-specific rescue so his history is unknown. He is estimated to be 6 years old. Ruckus is a very nice, calm dog who knows sit, shake, down and maybe some other basic obedience. He is a friendly guy with lower energy who did excellent with every person and dog he met today.
