Fun fact: I get a lot less pup cuddling time than you would think. How's that possible?

If a dog is food motivated (aka most dogs!) , I become the The Treat Lady™ and that dog only cares about trying to get more treats. No sweet attention, just 💯 full attention 😂

I'm not complaining, but I certainly cherish the rare pup snuggle 💓

On hot days, the only way to know the ground is safe for your dog is to check it yourself!

Those popular images with air temp vs. asphalt temp conversions are NOT accurate - it could easily be significantly hotter or cooler based on a variety of factors!

BEAT the Heat!
-Being aware of the danger and knowing . It's often much, much hotter than the air temp, especially during midday when the sun is out.
-Early morning of evening walks are best.
-Avoid surfaces that heat up (like asphalt, pavement, brick) and aim for shade and grass.
-Test! Place the back of your hand on the ground for 7 seconds and if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your dog!

Despite this DRAMATIC look ✨Tito✨ was such a good boy during his intro session. He wasn't so pleased when we started to decrease the frequency of treats... and that's how this beautiful photo came to be. 😇

NYC, it’s HOT outside! Give your dog a break from it with Skedaddle. We provide climate-controlled exercise for dogs on the UES.

We’ve cleared our calendars, opened up our online scheduling, brought in reinforcements, and want to try to help as many dogs as we can.

We’ve temporarily suspended our waitlist for our FREE intro sessions and you can use code “HEATWAVE” to get $29 off your run.

Why? It’s way too hot out. While it’s annoying, it can pose a safety risk for your dogs. As people who have a way to exercise dogs in a climate-controlled space, we feel like it’s our responsibility to help as much as we can.

We’re really concerned about breathing safely right now, so we’re opening up our availability for the next few days for as many runs as possible.

We offer complimentary intro runs and are discounting our $49 run sessions down to $20 for our returning runners (use code HAZE).

I have been focused less on running dogs and more on logistics lately, but I feel like I have to squeeze in as many dogs as possible! We have AC and an air filter!

The reports say the afternoon will be the worst again, so try to stay safe by scheduling during other times.
