Hototo is a big, young cat, primarily white with tea color spots. He has a gentle meow, so we named him Hototo - in Native American, it means 'a Warrior spirit who sings'. The three brave cats of the Meaome Colony enjoy the new apartment complex.
Hototo, Tukatu, and Takoda, Takoda were rescued the previous year and took their spot for a nap.

All three cats are here, back from the vet, and relaxing.
The good news is that all three tested negative for FIV/FELV,
Hototo and Pipaluck are healthy, and they don't need any medications besides the follow-up of the deworming.
All had the completed vaccination and tests, deworming, and Revolution.
Tukatu's laborious breathing is not caused by a tumor in the throat, regarding the doctor, but he has something under his mouth, and for that, the mouth looks so bad. Dr. Szacki said although he lost some teeth, she doesn't think it is a case to do dental work.
To wait until will not able to eat is very old and had a rough life, and surgery is not a good choice.
I will keep him, for a while caged, in an attempt to make him less aggressive for fear, and after letting him with my other cats.
Hototo maybe can be adopted in a few months; Pipaluck requests long socialization, and because she's old, the chance to find another home is slim.
It's one more cat to trap; the Calico remained on the dismantled colony.

The three feral cats will see the vet tomorrow morning. I need to wait so long cause of my surgery on the foot and limited mobility.
The veterinarians see feral only in the trap because they can sedate through the metal frame.
Tonight for transferring the three from the cage to the traps was so challenging, but we made it. Tukatu, the red, was the one offering strenuous resistance.

They put on some weight in these five weeks, and they are much cleaner.

Hototo gave me hope in socialization; I invented a few new tricks, letting me pet and brush him. Socialize a stray/feral requests time and dedication.

Here is Matha, the best trapper in the world; without her, I could not do all the necessary steps by myself. Tukatu went twice in the trap for veterinary emergencies, and it was difficult to catch him the third time!

We were lucky; after the blizzard, they were hungry, and three runs under the drop trap at the tuna smell were easy to catch. We didn't expect to get three, and we had only one transport trap.
Lois was fantastic, I called her, and I ran to her home to pick up two additional traps in a moment.

Pipaluck is the tortoiseshell and Tukatu sister; they were born in 2007 or 2008, five siblings, from an unknown mother. Two disappeared a long time ago; another, Koko, was rescued, and a lovely woman adopted last year but died in her home from cancer.
