Blue Poison Dart Frog🐸🐸

-Undeniably gorgeous, the blue poison dart frog (Dendrobates tinctorius "azureus") resembles sapphire. Like a valuable gemstone, this particular species of frog is a rare find in nature, exclusively existing in the tropical forests that abut the Sipaliwini Savanna in southern Suriname and stretch into northern Brazil. The common name and brilliant warning colors of the blue poison dart frog indicate that it is a venomous species that secretes a harmful chemical via its skin. Its body, which consists of lengthy limbs and a slumped back, further sets it apart. Each member of the species may be identified by the unique pattern of black spots on its flanks and back, which functions as a kind of fingerprint.

-Bright colors and distinctive patterns are characteristics of poison dart frogs. The Dendrobatidae family is home to these vibrant creatures. Poison dart frogs, as their name implies, are toxic, and researchers think that the formicine ants they eat are what give them the toxins.

Depending on their level of toxicity, handling poison dart frogs can be hazardous to people. Some are more toxic than others. These frogs' poison and color serve to dissuade predators from consuming them.

Red-Eyed Tree Frog🐸🐸🐸

-For its extraordinary adaptations, the red-eyed tree frog (Agalychnis callidryas), a resident of the tropical lowlands spanning from southern Mexico to northern South America, is a favorite. However, it is also recognized for its neon-green body, which is enhanced by vertical blue and yellow stripes on the sides and bright orange or reddish feet. Its distinguishing trait is its protruding red eyes. The red-eyed tree frog is believed to flash its heightened coloring when frightened, temporarily fooling its predators and allowing it to flee. The species' enormous webbed feet, which are covered in sticky pads, provide it a firm grip when it leaps and climbs among the trees, and it has a remarkable capacity for jumping, earning it the name "monkey frog."

All About Frogs
Toads are actually just a type of frog (all toads are frogs, but not all frogs are toads!). Toads have different distinctive features than what typically characterizes a frog. Often toads have drier, bumpier “warty” skin and prefer drier habitats. They usually have shorter hind limbs and rounder stouter bodies than most typical frogs. Toads have poison glands in their skin to keep predators from eating them and oftentimes produce a funny smell when handled.

Contributing factors include habitat destruction, invasive species, disease spread and rapid climate change. Most are human induced.

Frogs are truly generalist predators they’ll eat just about anything that comes their way in the wild. They’ll eat spiders, grasshoppers, butterflies, and just about anything else that fits in their mouth. Aquatic frogs eat a variety of aquatic invertebrates.

The frog makes its home in the basin of the Putumayo River, which runs through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Brazil. Researchers found the new species during a 2019 expedition to learn more about the basin’s mysterious amphibian residents. The frog’s most distinctive feature is a long, protruding snout resembling that of a tapir, a pig-like, hoofed mammal with a distinct trunk. The shape of the frog’s schnoz may hint at a life spent nosing through soft, wet soils.

Goliath frogs are, somehow, even bigger than you think they’re going to be. They’re more than a foot long from snout to butt (or “vent,” if you’re a herpetologist), but that doesn’t capture the bulk of their thick, muscular legs, which can propel them 10 feet in a single jump. All of this makes them the largest frogs on Earth—and honestly, thank goodness there isn’t a bigger one. This is as much frog as the world can handle.

In terms of scientific classification, both frogs and toads belong to the order Anura, which means "without a tail," according to Penn State University. Within the order Anura are several families of animals, including Ranidae, which are referred to as true frogs, and Bufonidae, which are referred to as true toads. Other families of frogs and toads exist for example, tree frogs are a different family of frogs than true frogs but these are smaller groupings of species, and some are specific to certain regions of the world.
