brwakfast was my bestff and he was frindlybwith people that i feel there is no way he disnt get scooped up by aomeone in the neighborhood.

I dont want to give up hope, but i dont live in the area whr he escaped from my parked car along 21st st btwn 34-37 aves in LIC/Dutch Kills. i dont know how much more time i can afford to spend in local hotels to continue my search.
I had been waiting for svc @ the Punjab grge late that evening (Oct 2) on 21st street near 33rd av …somewhat impatiently, as i moved my car btwn a few different spots. I was so tired i took a nap.
When i woke i saw that the window behind the driver was down too far. My stomach turned. His carriers zipper had broken the day before so he free to roam within the car. he got more than he was bargained for by jumping out tho.
When i was on the hunt for him ealier this wk on 21st, i saw a cat that looked very similar to him get hit by a car & die right in front of me. It wasnt B, thank God, but its been difficult to supress that memory & i break down sobbing if i cant divert my rumination fast enough.
Understand that Breakfast isnt going to fair well outdoors. He’s had urinary tract issues for some time now, but I had just gotten rid of the crystals after 2yr w on a veterinary diet & we rcvd his first clean bill of health in August.
Should he be captured by someone he should not be fed Temptations, kibble or low grade catfood. Kidney stones will return quickly if he’s fed them, Urethra blockage will occur again in short order, which becomes fatal wihin 1-2wks, left untreated.
also, we both had recent mold exposure as i had unwittingly contaminated the car just days before during a visit to storage. I was just realizing how severe the situation was and attempting to deal w it. No doubt that gave him great reason to jump out, but this means his immune system is compromised. God forbid he tangles w a tomcat w FIV…
He is microchipped, however the contact info isnt mine, but that of an old friend of mine who died 18mo ago. Im kicking myself for failing to update its data or have a new chip implanted. Altho He does have a large green metal tag from his rabies vax attached to the black harness that he wore that night.
Pls remain vigilant! I know he misses me as badly as i miss him. We are each other’s only family
He’s an absolutely delightful companion: very smart, always curious & super friendly, almost dog-like. Everybody who mets him says so. I dont want to think about a future wo him.
A couple of you have been so kind, contacting me w photos of strays that looked amazingly similar! Bless those who empathize & want to see pet & owner reunited. Breakfast means everything to me… he’s my only family, and i am his.
Description: Beautiful, friendsly & probably scared 6yo male silver-mackeral tabby w white pts aka tuxedo white markings… large almond shaped sea foam green eyes and pink nose w perfect long upside down triangle rising toward his brow.
He’s medium build, weighs ~12lbs and is wearing a black harness, (NOT a collar) to which is attached 2 tags:
1) small black plastic circle w his name Breakfast on one sign and my contact info etched on the other
2) a large geen metal tag that states the date and & batch number of his current rabbies vaccination & the attending animal clinic at which i manage his healthcare.
Breakfast is super friendly w ppl, but not the greatest w other animal. That said, he’s not gonna pick a fight w anyone. He just scramble away to a safe spot . He’s a lover, not a fighter. He might scratch you in he process of trying resist being handled but he wont bite you. Not will he stalk any other animals in uis environment.
I love this little guy i want him back desperately. Please help me recover him! I will shoer grattitude liberally upon the heroe(s) who help him return safely to me.
