A little more about who actually puts the “Kat” in “KatsAquatics” ........#Katsaquatics #femaleentrepreneur #businessowner #womanowned #womanownedandoperated #youngentrepreneur #aquascaping #aquariums #wow #inspiring #amazing #snails #calciumfoods #katsaquaticscalcium
A little more behind the scenes!
.
We use 100% natural and REAL ingredients in all of our products, which means that sometimes we have to take extra steps to get them looking as perfect as their nutritional value.
.
Normally all other calcium flavor undergo one round of dehydration until they’re ready for the shelves. However, beet pulp turns pale and loses its color during the first round of dehydration. While the tablet would still be just as nutritious, we like to make our product appealing to the eye as well, so we take a few extra steps to make sure it’s perfect.
.
Comment if you want to see how the other flavors are made!
Brought home 3 more pea puffers - hopefully they’ll be a happy shoal of 5

Late night set up of another crested gecko enclosure - this time for my lily white juvenile.
.
This terrarium still feels incomplete, I’ll either get her a large piece of spider wood, more plants, or give it a few months to grow in. I already added a few hides to the enclosure, not seen in the video.
Not shown in video:
Adding isopods, watering soil, planting the foliage.
I didn’t know hatching out snails could start such a ruckus on various social media platforms! Anyways, here’s what we do with the snails once they’re a few months old 😉

Can you guess how many hatched out in this clutch?
I spent years hatching out snails, and this is by far the easiest method, plus it has the highest success rate.
.
All you need is a chunk of styrofoam, and a small plastic container (make sure it is light, and will be able to float with the help of the styrofoam). This creates a humid environment for the eggs, allowing the snails to eventually hatch out and not be encapsulated by dry, hard eggshell.
.
Once they hatch, they can crawl off into the tanks by themselves and begin their new lives
