UPDATE: 20 days post-op.
Today the rest of the staples were removed. Nothing feels better right now. Looking forward to a nice warm bath.
Pathology report came back CANCER FREE. Just waiting on 1 more report. On the 10th I will see the oncologist and find out if any treatment is needed.
I see the surgeon again in 4 weeks and will schedule the ostomy reversal for 2nd week in Jan with a 4-6 week recovery.
I feel stronger every day and am getting used to having a ostomy bag.I can eat without pain and nausea for the first time in along time.
Looking at April to return to work or until I am off blood thinners. Again thank you all for the prayers and checking up on me. I can only get better from here and plan on it.

New date for surgery scheduled for October 11th.
Hopefully the anemia will continue to improve by then. Prednisone makes you so hungry. I am not having a problem gaining some weight back that I lost. I am feeling ok, tired mainly.
Eat and sleep seems to be the norm these days. .

UPDATE:
SURGERY IS NOW POSTPONED FOR ANOTHER 2 WEEKS.
AFTER 10 DAYS IN THE HOSPITAL, I AM HOME TO COMPLETE THE ROUND OF PREDNISONE FOR ANOTHER 2 WEEKS.
THIS WILL INSURE ME SAFELY GOING FORWARD WITH SURGERY.
MY RED CELLS (AIHA)ARE IMPROVING BUT NOT ENOUGH TO HEAL WELL AFTER SURGERY. IT'S BEEN A CRAZY CONFUSING AND FRUSTRATING TIME.
I CAN NOT HAVE ANY VISITORS AT THIS TIME OR GO OUT IN PUBLIC. IT'S TOO MUCH OF A RISK WITH MY IMMUNE SYSTEM SO COMPROMISED.
DR APPOINTMENTS ONLY AND MY BACK YARD IS ALL I AM ALLOWED TO DO.
I'LL KEEP EVERYONE UPDATED, EVEN THOUGH THEY CHANGE OFTEN.
I AM SO HAPPY TO SEE MY FUR BABIES AND FEATHERED BABIES. MISSED THEM SO MUCH. I MISS WORKING ON YOUR FUR BABIES TOO.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL THE PRAYERS.
I'M NOT DONE YET, JUST GETTING STARTED.

UPDATE: Day 6 Just a quick one. Red blood levels are finally more stable. As of this morning, surgery is planned for Monday Sept 26th but that can change at anytime. I am learning that on a daily basis that nothing in life is planned. I am feeling fine, no pain just tired. It's been a roller coaster of emotions and fear but I will not let this get the best of me..I need to fight with all I have to get through this. Again thank you all for your concern, calls, messages and well wishes. I will post as things progress.

UPDATE: My surgery has been postponed due to a tooth infection I have been fighting. I will be staying at the hospital to get treatment for my low red count and once that is cleared, I will be able to go ahead with the surgery sometime next week. Thank you all for your concern and well wishes. The last 3 weeks have been rough but now that everyone is on the same page, things should start looking up. As I know more I will update here. Keep those prayers coming !!

UPDATE. DUE TO NEEDING ADDITIONAL SURGERY ON SEPT 15TH, I WILL BE CLOSING UNTIL AT LEAST NOVEMBER. PENDING BIOSPY RESULTS I WILL KNOW MORE AND GO FROM THERE. PLEASE KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS AND PRAY THEY GOT IT ALL THE FIRST TIME..SEND ME A MESSAGE SHOULD YOU NEED A GROOMER. I HAVE SOMEONE COVERING FOR ME UNTIL I'M BACK ON MY FEET. WHO KNEW APPENDIX CANCER WAS EVEN A THING

Day 9 post op emergency appendectomy. Drain is out. Healing well. Starting to eat a bit more. Very sore but things are looking up. Rest for another 3 weeks and then I will see if I’m ready to go back to work. I miss all my puppies. Thank you all for the cards, gifts , texts and calls. I will be in touch to reschedule all the appointments that i had to cancel so please be patient.
