Join us this Tuesday evening for an AAZK presentation night featuring a variety of WCS departments and parks. Topics include medical case studies, training, enrichment, conservation, the AIP Masters Program and incubation and propagation. Pizza and light refreshments will be provided. Event is open to WCS staff and volunteers. The presentations will also be streamed over Zoom. The events will be held in the Flaherty Leaning Center (Bronx Zoo Congo Classrooms). Open to WCS staff and volunteers only. A zoom link will be sent out via email. Join us to hear guest speaker Tiffany Mayo, who is the vice president of the Trumpeter Swan Society. Tiffany is a full time keeper at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and focuses on avian incubation and hand rearing. She is also the AZA Trumpeter Swan SSP coordinator and has partnered with the Bronx Zoo to release several cygnets into the wild that were born at the zoo. After the presentation we will have a short members meeting to discuss the last events of the year, all are welcome to attend.

Join NYC AAZK on Monday October 21st as we take an after work stroll around the Bronx Zoo grounds and discuss the various architectural history as well as recount spooky stories from the zoo’s ‘haunted’ locations with the zoo’s own paranormal aficionado Billy DeToma. This walk is only open to WCS staff. We will meet in front of the sea lion pool at 5:45. Hope to see you there!
