Ditzzo, a striped kitten from Italy, experienced a life-changing accident when he was struck by a car in December 2018. After nearly losing his life, veterinarians determined that amputating his two hind legs was necessary to save him. His owners, Silvia Gottardi and Linda Ronzoni, decided to pursue prosthetics for Ditzzo, a procedure that had never been successfully performed on a kitten in Italy.

Ditzzo became the first kitten to receive two prosthetic legs, which allowed him to regain mobility. Bertie, a kitten brought in for help just days after birth, was taken under the care of Ellen Carozza at the Chris Griffey Memorial Feline Foundation. Weighing only 70 grams, she needed constant supervision and tube feedings to make it through her early days. With the dedicated support of foster caregiver Kimberly, Bertie grew stronger and soon transitioned to bottle feeding.

As she gained strength, Bertie became more adventurous and playful, developing a striking smokey coat with black-tipped fur. She even became the "bathtub lifeguard" and formed close bonds with other kittens in the nursery.

While at an animal shelter, what did your pet do that caused you to adopt him or her?Meet SteveO. He was in a kennel in the parking lot of PetCo. I was walking through on my way to the grocery store and decided to stop and just “look” at the kittens. He was the only kitten that didn’t get adopted that day.

The gal was packing up to take him back to the shelter. I couldn’t let him go back by himself after all his siblings were adopted. I paid my adoption fee and brought him home. That was 9 years ago. Just fate that day. Wasn’t even thinking about getting a pet and now I can’t imagine my life without him. 🥺

I’ve been blessed by my feral girl for 3 years. She was a baby stuck with a can on her head in my fenced yard. How she got in with a can on her head I’ll never know. But, as soon as I got it off, she was our girl. She In LOVE with my dog a lot more than me, lol. She is an indoor/outdoor kitty now and couldn’t be happier. 🥰

This the fur baby I rescued a few months ago🥰 one of the stray cats I feed had babies and she left him on the neighbors porch and I found him curled up in the corner scared hungry and cold so I brought him in bottle fed him til he was weaned off cat milk to soft food now he eats strictly hard kitten food. He is the best kitty lovable and loves to follow us around and is waiting in the window when we come home and greets us at the door. He is so spoiled. 🥺

Four and a half years ago Tigs adopted us. My son was not happy about it and did not particularly want to look after him when me and my wife went away for a few days.

When we came back my son told us that Tigs had jumped up onto his computer desk and bashed a full can of drink all over the place-my lad went ballistic and Tigs ran away under the dining room table. After he cleaned up the mess and sat back down this happened. He took these pictures on his phone.

Tigs came back up upstairs and went to him to say sorry in his cat way-My son’s heart melted and he has loved him ever since. The pictures show Tigger saying sorry and then when all well he fell asleep in my son’s room.

We all know that cats do have, and show emotions and this gesture bonded my son and Tigs and they love each other very much.
