Went back to the vet. stogie has a lot of skin stuff happening and his ears are still swollen and gunky. Trying a steroid and antibiotic for now. He is always a good boy at the vet!! 🤎🤎

Betty had to go to the vet 😞 we suspected she has a UTI and she does. She got all her old lady blood work and some shots but everything else looked good! She’s on an antibiotic now so hopefully she’s on the mend! 💜💜

Stogie’s vet visit went really well! He has a gnarly ear infection that will likely be chronic, but he got his ears cleaned and medicated. He’s on medication for his kennel cough. The vet isn’t sure if the issues with his legs/ hips is orthopedic or neurological. When he’s feeling better he will get X-rays to explore more. The vet didn’t think his paw issues were allergies so that’s one good thing. We did blood work and should hear how that looks soon. Red Hook Dog Rescue makes sure all the dogs in their care get proper vetting but it’s costly! If you can help with Stogie’s vet care it would be greatly appreciated. We anticipate large vet bills over the next couple weeks but he is worth EVERY cent!! Please consider donating:

Stogie is a foster. He was tied up and abandoned and taken in by Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) and then pulled by Red Hook Dog Rescue. He has a vet appointment today. We suspect a lot of things going on with him. He has really bad hips/back legs, his ears are atrocious (I suspect at least partial hearing loss), lots of allergy stuff, a growth on his chest, horrible breathing and then on top of that has kennel cough. In spite of all that he is the absolute SWEETEST boy. He’s loving and smart and very very precocious! And doing sooo many things that remind me of Malik. Right now he’s separated from Betty and Blue to give him time to decompress and get better physically. They have seen and heard each other and thus far, I think Betty is excited about nursing a new baby and Blue will be happy for another friend. 🤎🤎🤎
