Rescue from came in today for an Exam with Dr. Karachun, Rabies and FVRCP vaccines.

Rabies - Protects against Rabies and is required for all pets by NYS Law. This is a zoonotic disease and can be transmitted from animals to humans.
FVRCP - Protects against Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia. This vaccine needs to be boostered 2-3 times after the initial vaccine depending on your pet’s age.

The CDC Dog Import Form receipt: You complete this form online. It will only take a few minutes if you have the required information available.

A Certification of U.S.-issued Rabies Vaccination form or a USDA-endorsed export health certificate: These forms are filled out by your veterinarian and endorsed by a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)-accredited veterinarian.

What do you do if you find a baby bird on the ground ? 🐥🐣
If you can locate the nest nearby, the best thing to do is simply place the nestling back in the nest. If you cannot locate the nest, leave the nestling where you found it or move it to a shaded area. The parents will come back. Don’t worry, your scent won’t deter the parents.

In honor of February Dental Health Month we will be offering 10 dental slots at a 20% discounted rate. Your pet must have had an annual exam within the last 6 months, or should update their annual exam prior to the dental. The 20% discount will be applied to the pre-dental bloodwork and dental procedure. Your pet will need to come in for a 10 minute dental consultation to assess the grade of periodontal disease, if any. 🐾
