🐾💪 Keep Your Pets Moving Comfortably: Let’s Talk Joint Health! 💪🐾

Our furry friends rely on strong, healthy joints to stay active and happy—but as they age, joint issues like arthritis can slow them down. The good news? There’s plenty we can do to support their mobility!

Here’s how you can help:
✨ Provide a balanced diet with joint-supporting nutrients (like glucosamine and omega-3s).
✨ Keep them at a healthy weight to reduce stress on their joints.
✨ Stay consistent with low-impact exercise (like walking or swimming).
✨ Use orthopedic beds or ramps for extra comfort.
✨ Schedule regular checkups to spot early signs of joint issues.

🐶🐱 Whether they’re fetching balls or chasing laser pointers, healthy joints mean a happy, active pet! Ask us about supplements, therapies, or treatments to keep your pet moving pain-free.

🐾 Meet Luka! 🐾

This sweet pup recently came in for outpatient care after experiencing a few episodes of vomiting. 💙 Vomiting can happen for many reasons, ranging from dietary indiscretions to underlying medical issues. That’s why we take a thorough and thoughtful approach to ensure every pet feels better quickly and safely.

For Luka, we started by performing abdominal radiographs (X-rays) to get a clear picture of what’s happening internally. This helps us rule out blockages, foreign objects, or other abnormalities. Along with that, Luka received subcutaneous fluids to prevent dehydration and help him stay hydrated as his system recovers. Finally, we administered an anti-nausea medication to settle his stomach and help him feel more comfortable. 🩺🐶

We’re so proud of how brave Luka was during his visit, and we’re sending him all our best wishes for a speedy recovery! Rest up, buddy—we know you’ll be back to your happy, playful self in no time! 💕

🐾 Say hello to Buddy! 🐾

Buddy is a staff favorite who recently came in for his Leptospirosis booster, and we couldn’t be happier to see him! This handsome pup is always full of charm, making every visit a joy. 💙

Why is Leptospirosis prevention so important?

Leptospirosis is a serious bacterial infection that can affect both pets and humans. Dogs can contract it through contaminated water, soil, or contact with infected wildlife. The disease can lead to severe kidney or liver damage if left untreated.

By staying on top of Buddy's Leptospirosis booster, his family ensures he’s protected and helps reduce the risk of spreading the disease to other animals and humans. 🩺💉

Vaccinations like this are a simple yet essential way to keep our pets healthy and happy. Way to go, Buddy, for being such a superstar patient! 🌟

❄️🐾 Winter Paw Care for Your Pets! 🐾❄️

With the winter months here, it’s important to take extra care of your pet’s paws, especially when salt and de-icing chemicals are on the ground. These can irritate their sensitive paws and cause discomfort. Here are some tips to help keep those paws safe and healthy:

Wipe paws after walks: Always wipe your pet’s paws with a damp cloth to remove salt and chemicals.

Use paw balm: Apply a pet-safe balm to protect paws from dryness and cracking.
Booties: Consider using protective boots to keep paws safe from salt, ice, and cold surfaces.

Regular paw checks: Check for cuts, cracks, or buildup between toes after each walk.
Avoid salty roads: Walk your pet on cleared, snow-free paths when possible to minimize exposure.

Taking these simple steps can help protect your furry friends from painful paw issues this winter. ❄️🐾

❄️🐾 Fleas in Winter? Yes, it’s possible! 🐾❄️

Did you know that fleas can still thrive during the colder months? While they may slow down outside, they can stay active indoors, especially in warm homes. Your pets can still get infested even in winter! 🐶🐱

🐾 Meet Blu, the dashing 13-week-old Russian Blue! 🐾

Blu came in for his visit looking absolutely stylish and dressed to impress! 😻 Not only did he turn heads with his adorable outfit, but he also showed off his bravery as we boosted his FVRCP vaccine—and he took it like a total champ! 💉👏

What is the FVRCP vaccine?

The FVRCP vaccine is essential for protecting cats against three serious and highly contagious feline diseases:

✨ Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR): A respiratory virus caused by feline herpes.
✨ Calicivirus (C): Another common virus that causes respiratory infections and oral ulcers.
✨ Panleukopenia (P): Often referred to as feline distemper, a life-threatening disease affecting the immune system.

This vaccine is a critical part of keeping Blu and other cats healthy, especially at a young age when their immune systems are still developing. Regular boosters ensure lasting protection against these potentially severe illnesses. 🩺

We’re so proud of Blu for being such a brave and fashionable patient! Stay fabulous, Blu! 💙
