Sumo (126721) is available for adoption at Queens ACC!

Sumo’s Bio: https://nycacc.app/ #/browse/126721

My Straycation Buddy Writes: Sumo brought so much joy to our home during the 3 days he was with us. He might be 8 years old, but has lovely energy; a “play hard - nap hard” kind of guy. He excels at fetch, outdoors and indoors, and never fails to cause a smile when he brings you a stuffed toy, or walks up and bumps you with his snout for a pet - especially during a boring conference call! He *loves* to cuddle & be close to his people, and got lots of passersby smiles when he lay down on a bench next to me, with his head in my lap. We also had the best nap together during my sick day! He’s velvety soft to touch; instant relaxation.

After initial adjustment, he is easy to walk. It helps that he’s non-reactive: joggers, dogs, giant NYC rats don’t faze him. (He is fully housetrained, too!) My favorite memory is relaxing together on a quiet stretch of the waterfront, with Sumo air scenting and watching the waves.

Can you believe this gorgeous guy?

What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! It is unknown if I have ever lived with other animals or children. I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. I....

Winks (236938) is available for adoption at Queens ACC!

Meet Winks, the 9-year-old pup who proves you don’t need perfect eyesight to see the good in everyone. His adorably quirky gaze might look in two directions, but both eyes are set on finding a loving home. Winks is a social, affectionate guy who loves being where the people are, enjoys a good bath, and has plenty of pep in his step. He met other dogs politely and would do best in an experienced home with kids over 13.
Come meet this one-of-a-kind sweetheart at the shelter and fall in love at first wink.

Sugar (239892) is available for adoption at Queens ACC!

True to her name, Sugar is as sweet as they come. Within minutes of meeting her, she’s rolling over for belly rubs and leaning in for hugs. Sugar came to us with her friend Honey (ID #239893) after their owner could no longer care for them. She would do best in an adult home where she can decompress, settle in at her own pace, and show you just how sweet she really is.

Fiona 239417, Ginger 239419, Goldie 239420, and Gepetto 239421 are adoptable from Queens ACC!

Four dogs were found pushed in a shopping cart and left behind. That’s how the story began for siblings Fiona, Ginger, Goldie, and their mom Gepetto.

When the three sisters were reunited, everything changed. Their tails wagged, their spark came back, and their confidence started to bloom. They’ve come so far together, and we hope to keep that magic going.

It may be a challenge, but our dream is to find an adopter or adopters who can keep the trio or at least a pair together, and for the remaining sibling to find a home with a friendly dog who can help her feel safe. Mom Gepetto is happy to find her own quiet home.

Fiona, Ginger, Goldie, and Gepetto are waiting at Queens ACC for their next chapter.
