As time passes the reality of a forever family seems further and further away for this humble hound.

Dragonfly is a 5 year old hound turned into the shelter after she could no longer be used for hunting purposes. Ironically Dragonfly is the sweetest, daintiest and gentlest hound you will ever meet. She loves anyone and everyone. While she is a bit older she still loves to play with her canine friends. Dragonfly has a healthy respect for her kitty friends as well. This girl has a weakness for comfy couches, roomy recliners, and cozy blankets. She has adapted wonderfully to being an inside pet and part of her foster family. This girl doesn’t need an excessive exercise routine, but does enjoy being included in social activities with friends and family. We are a small, volunteer, foster-based rescue located in Newark, DE. We are currently accepting applications for potential adopters within a 45 minute radius due to staffing limitations.

All of COLLAR’s dogs have been fully vetted and live in a home environment. COLLAR will meet with you and discuss all information on the pet including health, personality, requirements, and feeding.
