Check with your vet if you suspect your dog might have Kennel Cough

I thought this might work for some situations rather than cones

Please use my cell number 630-220-2902 for appointments. My land line reception is horrible and I can't understand most of the messages left on my answering machine. Thanks so much!

I know a lot of you have asked me for boarding and training recommendations. I highly recommend Dave & Dawn Parison-Dog Boarding/Training 630-273-2605 they have a page where you can contact them. They do boarding with some outdoor indoor runs available, as well as having acres of fenced in exercise yard. They offer one on one training as well as group classes and board and train services. Dave has been my personal dog trainer for years and my dogs are competitive in obedience shows. I trust them with my dogs and feel confident you will too.

Share this one with your clients so they have a better understanding of the struggles for a brachycephalic pet.

– Keep your furry friends on their leash. Dogs often become lost during the winter as the cold and snowy weather can cover their scent. Be sure your pups are always wearing their tag and have their microchip up to date.

Please Note Dog Owners AND Anyone who scans animals!
This is an X-ray of a dog’s flexed elbow (front leg). The tiny white shape on the forearm is a microchip that had been implanted at the dog’s shoulders. **This is why it’s important to scan for your dog’s microchip at every vet exam.** They drift, sometimes dramatically from where they are implanted. This chip was missed at the shelter where he was pulled from, as it would be missed by many vets or shelters. Yes, anyone scanning *should* be scanning the entire dog, but this doesn’t always happen and microchips do on rare occasion go bad and fail as well. It’s our responsibility as owners to ensure the chip is functioning and situated where it’s less likely to be missed. The benefits of having your pet microchipped far outweigh the risks, but that chip is useless if it can’t be located when needed. Also be sure it is registered with your up to date contact information!

Pet Grooming

  • I have always had a interest in dogs and cats as a far back as I can remember. The career I picked as a small child was dog grooming. I have been grooming for over 30 years. It is truly my dream come true. I groom your pet one on one in my small shop in my home. I love getting to have a personal relationship with each of my pet clients as well as their owners. I will work with each dog and their owner to try to make the grooming experience fun and fear free.
