A little update on Floofy. As many of you know Floofy came to us with glaucoma. Recently his eyes started bothering him and causing him pain so we made the decision to remove both of his eyes. He is still growing his hair and whiskers back but he is doing an amazing job of relearning the clinic now that he is 100% blind. He does not let anything hold him back and still continues to yell at all of us and tell us to get busy.

Dr. Rege is out of the clinic today. We will be taking walk in nail trims and a**l glands expressions for current patients who are up to date on their vaccines. We will be closing from 12:00-2:00 for a long lunch to celebrate our amazing technicians and all their hard work. We will also be closing for the day at 5:00pm.

Just a friendly reminder that Dr. Rege is taking a well deserved break and will be out of town next week, September 18-23rd. We will be changing our hours just for next week. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm and closed every day at noon for lunch. We will be accepting walk in nail trims and a**l glands appointments for our clients; pets must be up to date on vaccines.

Do not give hydrogen peroxide to cats!
The internet can be full of misinformation, and whether or not hydrogen peroxide can be given to cats is unfortunately, a topic that can lead to deadly consequences. There is no safe or effective way to make our feline friends vomit at home, that includes using hydrogen peroxide. In fact, using something like hydrogen peroxide can cause significant injury to a cat’s gastrointestinal system, potentially causing more damage than the original issue. Cats are extremely sensitive to the gastric irritant effects of hydrogen peroxide and giving any amount by mouth can have severe negative effects that can lead to death. If your pet ingested something you are concerned may be toxic, call your veterinarian or Pet Poison Helpline right away before attempting to perform any treatments at home.
