Chuck and Finn! I had the most magical three days in a winter wonderland with these boys. Silly and sweet and always up for walks, they are always a delight. It was strange without Smitty there (see previous post) but we had a blast 🩷❄️

🚧 Traffic Update for Our Clients 🚧

Route 5 is currently closed north of Newbury Vet Clinic. If you’re coming from the north, please allow for extra travel time and plan your route accordingly. You can still access the clinic from Route 5 if you’re coming from the south. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

Newbury – A culvert replacement project will require a road closure and detour on U.S. 5 just north of Longmoore Hill Road (MM 6.74) in Newbury. Southbound traffic will detour into New Hampshire along U.S. 302 and use NH-10 or NH-135 and access back to U.S. 5 via Newbury Crossing Rd. Northbound traffic can use the same detour in reverse. The closure is scheduled to begin on Thursday 10/31 at 7 a.m. and end on Friday 11/1 at 5 p.m.

Today I received a text from Wellie’s mom: “Wellie is at peace.”

He had a tough summer, there were good days and bad days. Recently the bad days started to outnumber the good, and the last time I saw him I said goodbye, just in case.

Wellie was the sweetest soul, so gentle and loyal. He lived a beautiful, long life and had an owner that treasured him more than gold. I will miss him very much.

Happy National Senior Pet Day!!

Here’s to all the beautiful gray faces, the slow motion zoomies, the cloudy eyes that still look at us with love, the continuous enjoyment of the important things in life even as the body stops cooperating as it once did.

What an honor it has been to know and love so many senior pets in my life and in my work, and thank you to their people who have trusted me with their care. I’ll never forget a single one ❤️❤️
