We haven’t posted in a while but we are back to being fast and sometimes we slip the lead and run off down the garden.

We are still having some runny bottom issues cause the other dog taught us it’s good to raid the litter boxes but we seem to be locked out now.

Mums sent away for a doggie DNA test to find out how Wolfey we are and what other breeds we could be ? Exciting times xx

Morning friends - well we made a little trip to see a friend yesterday to be a part of their photo project on tripod dogs. We aren’t technically tri but we can’t stand on our left leg, so sort of.

We’ve been trying to go for sometime now We maybe overdid things a little so we came home and had a quiet and restful afternoon / evening.

So far we’ve not had anymore runny 💩; we have 2 more days of antibiotics and will stay on bland food until we know our tumtum is sorted out.

We appear to have lost a little weight this week but hopefully a few restful rainy days and we will back on track.

🐾🐾 Pupdate 🐾🐾 Oscar’s keeping a close eye on our Nero. He’s had some better looking 💩 today and we put him in his new coat this afternoon and our doggie walker said he was thrilled to be warm and wanted to go see/pee on all the places.

He’s otherwise been very quiet today. We’re still on boiled white rice w / chicken and taking it easy. 💩 sample came back no parasites. So we have 4 more days of metrozidenole and R & R 🐾🐾

Hi Folks - so after some pretty worrying bloody poo this afternoon we took a same day emergency appointment. Poor Nero had to be carried to the car and he shook the whole way there. He was great with the staff once we arrived as usual. We did cry a fair bit as we are afeared of veterinary offices now.

Nero was poked and prodded; had a re**al & stomach exam. We’ve been given some antibiotics for 5 days, a shot of cortisone and had some p**p sent away for tests.

Feeling quite cross we were advised to get all his vaccinations same day. Apparently small dogs get them staggered and we’d like to think given all his history they would have aired on the side of caution. We won’t make that mistake again.

Crossing everything some medicine, tlc and a band diet with help us turn the corner and soon xx 🙏🏻

We are still unwell since getting our vaccinations Saturday. After some delay, we were on our way to get some pain meds finally and we had sudden bloody diarrhoea ☹️ so now we can’t have pain meds as they can cause GI upset. It’s bright red so likely lower GI upset rather than anything more sinister. They have no appointments left today so it’s either boiled rice and chicken or $300 to walk into emergency and Lord knows how much to be treated. We are off to the shops to get some chicken breast to boil as some plain white rice. 🍚 Hoping for an end of day cancellation tomorrow evening.

Ah me. Hopefully just a little set back.

Next time we will do our vaccinations on separate visits. (We did ask and were told it would be fine, it’s not fine)

We are feeling unwell today - not sure if it’s his leg or a vaccine reaction - given him some pain meds and we’ll call the vet in the am to see what’s what. Hopefully we will feel more ourselves tomorrow

He does half worry me just now - Lizabeth has come to watch over him

PUPDATE :

So, we are on the slow and steady mend!
Our days are pretty quiet as we just hang on the ‘office’ sofa and go out for toileting

Nero finished one antibiotic 10 days ago and we are wrapping up the 3 months course of the other. Did notice some worrying discharge yesterday which we are keeping a close eye on.

We don’t have a follow up until late February when we go for some follow up X-rays.

There’s no signs of pain and we are trying to motivate Nero for short walkies but he’s reluctant and who can blame him with all this wet weather we’ve had

As always, thanks for your support and please keep sharing!? We are struggling to get any where near our goal and are $10k out of pocket which is mostly sitting on a care credit card that we have until May to pay off in full x
