Happy Sunday! I hope everyone’s holiday season went well! Here’s a little announcement for the new year.

When you schedule online you’ll notice that new, and established customers will be required to add a card to be kept on file. This is nothing personal, going mobile is closer than ever (thanks to my husband for all his hard work) and all customers will be required to have a form of payment on file in order to take advantage of mobile grooming services, this way I can get a jump start on gathering that information as we go along. You can still pay cash! I actually prefer cash.

If you’re curious about how mobile grooming will work, and what it will cost please shoot me a message. I do have a rough price list worked out. it may be subject to change, but not by much. There are perks to having multiple dogs! I have made it as affordable as possible. I know it’s been a concern for some people! so if you’re interested please don’t be afraid to ask about it!

First and foremost Sawyer gets a very balanced diet from a quality dog food. A dogs diet makes a huge difference in their coat.

‼️I see Sawyer every 3 weeks‼️
Yes he comes here for a full groom every 3 weeks. I maintain his haircut, nails, ears, etc. His owner pays more for his hair than she does her own.

Between his 3 week schedule, he receives at least 2 baths at home. Sawyers family bathes him, blow drys him with a force dryer, and combs out his entire body. I asked how long this takes and she says it takes about an hour for Sawyers bath at home. Sawyer gets about 3.5-4 of grooming every 3 weeks

This style is not possible without a strict grooming schedule!! Something to keep in mind when purchasing any doodle 🙂

Ive been working closely with my younger sister to help prepare her for her market hog 4H project. With that being said, the week of September 16th through 20th has zero availability because I will be at the fairgrounds supporting the 4Hers and watching my sister show her market hog! If you’re thinking about shaving your double coated dog, don’t! and here’s why! 1️⃣ Your dog has two coats, the under coat and the outer coat also called “guard hairs”. Guard hairs are what you touch when you pet your dog! and they do just that, they guard the dog from many things. Including sunburn, parasites like fleas and ticks, water and much more!! 💧have you ever taken your dog swimming and noticed that he dried much quicker than you thought he would? that’s because the guard hairs are designed to keep the water from soaking the undercoat of your dog! it essentially keeps your dog “dry”. this is also why after bathing a dog it takes longer to dry, because we force water to the under coat! 2️⃣ The under coat regulates the dogs body temperature. They blow their undercoat at least two times a year. The winter undercoat helps to keep them warm, and the summer undercoat helps to keep them cool. the undercoat is very important to keep on your dog! ➡️ What can you do to help your dog during the hot months? frequent bathing and brushing will help prevent undercoat build up so that excess heat isn’t held on the dogs body. Regular grooming to help the winter undercoat escape is very helpful, especially with older dogs! 3️⃣ Some skin conditions require the coat to be shaved, but it’s best to consult with your vet before asking your groomer to shave them! a healthy double coated dog does not need shaved. 💥lastly when shaving, you run the risk of making your dog shed more excessive, and causing permanent damage to the regrowth of the coat. 💥
