A lot happening on our homestead today. Rocky our doe rabbit gave birth to 7 babies. We aren't exactly sure of breed but they are definitely on the larger side. They will be available in 8 weeks if anyone is interested.

Try to sneak in those bbqs between the rain this weekend. Nothing goes better with bbq food then deviled eggs or salads with egg in them! Running a chicken egg special this weekend! 18 pack for $3 while supply last. Not fond of chicken eggs....try out some duck eggs! They make delicious egg salad. $4 for a 18 pack while supply lasts. We also quail eggs available as well. They might be tiny but they sure are tasty. $4 a dozen.

We've had 3 new additions to out rescue side of the homestead. We got 2 crossbeak silkies. One passed away within 12 hours of getting her she was too weak and not eating. The other is pants( pictured) He is a wild boy running around everywhere always looking for food. Then we got Brave (pictured) a pekin female duck with a severe case of bumble foot and possible broken leg.

Been a hectic few days here on Cooper's Coop and Homestead. So far 30 healthy baby quail have hatched! 73% hatch rate

So we have decided to not only run our regular homestead but also take in rescue poultry with special needs. This has been one of our dreams to do. To give animals a chance at life. So everyone meet Eddy. Eddy is a 8 week old wheaton Easter egger who has severe cross beak. Eddy will live here in our special needs chicken coop for the rest of her life.

With warm weather here and camp fires happening, why not let someone else cut up the camp fire wood. That way you can relax and enjoy this beautiful day. Also can be used for the fireplace for the chilly nights we are still having. We have bundles available!!! 15 to 20 pieces for $10.
