Lucy chooses to lay in the dirt. She and her brother both did the 6 week private lessons and did amazing, but the best part is I get to spend the family vacations hosting those two wonderful beagles.

Meet Panda! This sweet 6 month old has a special place in my heart. Every once in a while I get to work with a puppy that just needs extra. Extra everything. Her pet parents adopted her out of a not so great situation at 3 months old were she missed out on vital socialization. I've had her for my two week board and train. I've got to experience helping her find her confidence. There's still work to do and she still wants her support leaf but I'm very proud of her.

This is Nellie and Kozie. Both of these sweet dogs are new trainees. Both were rescued from local shelters. It's really sad to know that Kozie spent years in a shelter he's now 7 and has developed some reactivity that we're working through. Nellie was found as a stray and had a couple fosters before coming back into the shelter. She definitely is going to need some work in the confidence department.

This is Leo! He's a handsome 6-month-old who's got some quirks we're working out. He's got tons of personality. One of my favorite things about him is just his happy face with his tongue hanging out.

My current board and train Drago playing with Bertha. Same ages different breeds. After their hour play session Bertha was definitely done. Both did some healthy check ins and lots of appropriate breaks.

One of my clients working her lovely German sheperd Olive. Olive is learning pattern games to help her disengage while on walks. Remember practice in a low distraction area and to keep if fun!

I hesitated to make this post, because I know so many people will be disappointed, but you have to know that everything happens for a reason. Whiskey & Tango moved in to an amazing home with a very loving family, but we learned something very quickly. We didn’t know this prior to the adoption, but after moving into their new home the family realized that the two Mastiff’s have a prey drive, which isn’t uncommon. You can imagine how many small animals are on a farm, so it didn’t take long to figure out this adoption wasn’t going to work out. The family was heartbroken, but they did the right thing and brought the two dogs back to the Animal Shelter. Our focus, now that we’ve learned more about the dogs is to find them the perfect home, which we will do. I hope you understand that animal rescue is an imperfect science, but we do the best we can for every animal to watch the door. Back to the drawing board!

Sometimes a client purchases something a little extra from me. My true passion is dog training and behavior modification but these little extras make my day too. I know a puppy that is going to go nuts over this and I had fun putting it together for him. Home made easter cookies and a bully stick too.

Blake is a sweet chocolate lab that I had the pleasure of working with 3 years ago. He's getting older but still loves and adventures. His mom is dedicated to giving him the best adventures still and I just love that.
