The rescue is closed for intake until further notice. We have had no adoptions in several months and have zero support coming in. We can no longer physically or financially take on more animals.

Big thunderstorms mean big anxiety for a coulple of the German Shepherds in rescue. So we break out the thunder/anxiety vest, anxiety meds, lots and lots of snuggles and reassurance.

Mali is still waiting for the perfect experienced german shepherd home. She is VERY HIGH ENERGY and needs a yard and someone able to work with her. She loves being outside and playing fetch. She is toy driven and always has a toy or ball. She gets along with less dominant dogs and cats although she likes to chase them. She has been around chickens as well.

Stella formerly Dolly is an 8 yr old toy poodle who is fully vetted and microchipped. She came from the same hoarding situation as the others. She wants to sit in her persons lap all day and get pets. She will do best as an only dog or with another older dog as she doesn’t like to play much. She would be the perfect companion for an elderly person or someone who is home a lot.
She does have an issues with her back legs/hips, the vet said it was a genetic issue and there is nothing to be done about it. As of now it doesn’t cause her much pain, she just walks with a limp. We have her on joint supplements to help with it.
She is crate trained.

ADOPTED!!!

Channelle is a 7 yr old toy poodle who came from the same hoarding situation as Griffin and Rosa. She is very friendly, loves to sit in your lap, gives kisses and hugs, she loves car rides and just being where her people are. She does great for the groomer. Is house and crate trained.
Would do well in a home with kids 8 or older. Gets along with cats, chickens and some other dogs.

There is an adoption fee.

Rosa is a 5 yr old toy poodle who came from a bad hoarding situation. We have put lots of time and energy and love into getting her ready for her forever home. She loves to give kisses and snuggle on her terms but she’s not like to be touched. She is still learning that people aren’t bad. She will need a patient home that is still willing to work with her. Older kids only. She is puppy pad trained and will go outside. She is used to a variety of other animals. She is fully vetted and spayed. She would be best in a home with another dog.
Griffin is her best friend and is also available for adoption.

Griffin is ready for his forever home. He is a little over 2. He is fully vetted and neutered. He came from a hoarding situation back in August. He is still learning how to be a dog. He loves to play and cuddle and sit with you, but he does not like being picked up. Older kids only. He is good with other animals. He is also good for the groomer.

He would do best with another playmate. His best friend is Rosa who is also available for adoption. There is an adoption fee.

Weekly crate cleaning day. Crates all cleaned, bedding and toys washed. 7 crates total cleaned today. Big dogs crates and bedding will get done tomorrow. There is always cleaning to do around here 😍

Just a quick update: We had 3 dogs get started ir neutered last Friday and have three more going there 16th. We have several that need updated vaccinations and Rosa and Griffin need some extensive dental work soon.

It’s a long read but wanted to give a Rosa update.

Rosa…. I haven’t talked much about Rosa since we got her in early August, well because there wasn’t much to update but now there is. When we picked her up she went straight to our groomer, she smelled horrible, covered in f***s and urine, our groomer said she had the wettest case of fleas she had ever seen on a tiny little body. We got her cleaned up and discovered she had a nasty eye infection, was very very skinny and anemic due to fleas. Too made things worse she was reactive and bitey. We could hardly touch her without getting bit. She hid in her crate, she would occasionally venture out and hide under the bed or in a corner. Charlie and I sent countless hours talking to her and sitting on the floor next to her crate, or laying on the floor talking to her as she hid under the bed.
After about a month she began to come out more, she would never leave the bedroom but would sit on the end of the bed, or at the doorway. She began to bark and howl if we closed the door and she couldn’t see us, even though she would never cross the threshold of the bedroom door into the living room.
One day she finally took a leap of faith and came out the bedroom. We would sit in the recliners and talk to her, you could tell she wanted up in our laps with the other dogs but was scared. She finally worked up the nerve to jump up. She would stay just out of our reach to pet and if we moved to fast she would run and hide. She also began to get our bed at night and sleep next to us. She would run up and lick us then run off before we could pet her.
We had a major break through when she discovered treats and snacks and how much she loved them. She began to take them out our hands. She still wouldn’t let us pet her or love on her. She would still get nippy if we moved to fast or tried to pick her up.
Well two weeks ago she began to let us pet her when she was in our lap. She discovered that being loved wasn’t a bad thing. She also discovered that she likes being under the blankets and she really loves to be snuggle now. I can’t move around her next to me. She will literally lay on my chest and let me pet her. She will do the same with Charlie. She still will not let the kids near her, but I cannot get over how far she has came and the change we have seen in the last couple weeks. We still have a long way to go but she has came so far. As I type this she is curled up on my chest without a care in the world.

Didn’t get any pictures…due to us being sick and zero energy… but all the fur babies got a nice thanksgiving dinner of green beans, potatoes and pumpkin. They all loved it and are taking a nice nap.

I am thankful for all the friends and supporters we have, we love you all and are blessed to be able to provide a safe haven for all the precious babies we have in our care.

We have been quite on here lately due to some hard family issues that have been going on, a death in the family and then a we had a house fire. Everyone is okay, we were able to get all the animals out of the house and v they are all safe and we are putting the pieces back together. We need your help now more than ever to help. We need crates and beds as well as a couple dogs needing to go to the vet and Griffin is still getting splint changes on his broken leg.
We are doing our best to get more pups ready for adoption.

Griffin goes for another splint change Wednesday. We could use any help with the expense. This is a bi weekly thing for at least six more weeks. Intakes are up, we cannot continue to keep animals without support. What doesn’t come from donations we cover personally and it gets to be a lot. Besides Griffin expenses we can always use feed, blankets, toys, grooming expenses and other things.

Griffin goes Monday for a splint change. It will be $130.00 plus any extra meds he may need. I’m begging for help to cover this. We have serval others getting spayed and Rosa has an appt this week as well. If anyone can donate you can do so via paypal or venmo or directly to the vet.

Sweet Rosa makes number 20 to come from a hoarding case we are helping Foxy Family Rescue with. This sweet baby will need vet care, dental work and spayed. She is extremely fearful and will need lots of time and patience, luckily we have plenty of that. What we don’t have is funds for all her expenses. Her first vet appointment will be around $200 and then of course dental and spay.

Griffin our sweet little boy who has a broken leg will require splint changes every two weeks costing $130.00 each time, but hopefully after 8 weeks in a splint he won’t need surgey. He will also need neutered once his leg is healed.

We can use any help we can get.

Hey friends!! Facebook won’t let me do a fundraiser for Griffin. He goes to the vet tomorrow to have his XRays looked at, a splint change and we are going to go ahead and do his vaccinations and heart worm testing.
