DID YOU KNOW⁉️ ⁉️
Quiet time is actually super important for dogs at daycare, and here’s why:
1. Prevents Overstimulation: Daycares can be exciting with all the playing and socializing, but too much stimulation can stress dogs out. Quiet time gives their nervous systems a chance to reset.
2. Physical Rest: Just like kids, dogs need breaks to rest their bodies. Constant activity can lead to exhaustion or even injury, especially in high-energy pups.
3. Supports Better Behavior: Tired or overstimulated dogs are more likely to get cranky, snap at other dogs, or misbehave. A structured nap helps them stay calm and well-behaved.
4. Mimics Natural Rhythm: Dogs naturally spend a good chunk of their day resting or napping—sometimes up to 12–14 hours. Incorporating downtime keeps the daycare environment more in line with their natural needs.
5. Improves Socialization: After a break, dogs often interact more positively with others. They’re less reactive and more ready to engage in healthy play.
So basically, it’s about balance—fun, stimulation, and rest all working together to keep dogs happy, healthy, and safe.
We provide quiet time from 11:30 to 1:30 daily. 🐶
