This past month has been super busy! We have discharged several patients and await the arrival of new ones in the coming days.

We did want to give a quick recap on the beautiful mare that was here to foal. She developed placentitis while at a farm in Kentucky, was moved to a foaling facility in Virginia where she unfortunately tried to colic. All of this obviously placed her in a high risk pregnancy. After a brief hospital stay she came to us for intense 24/7 monitoring and she definitely kept us on our toes! We fell in love with her and of course her beautiful foal. I'm happy to say they were able to be hauled home once the foal was strong enough for travel and are doing wonderful! ❤️

This moment may seem small, but it is very, very big! Dreams really do come true when you work hard enough! This is our first layup going into the new facility! We even finished installing the other stall last night! It will be one giant stall (12 x 24) for the time being as we are on foal watch for a high risk pregnancy 🙏

Shew 🥵 what a hot, hot summer!

Where have we been? Staying busy! We just discharged our 15th patient of the year! I'm sorry I haven't updated, it seems to be a challenge for me to do that regularly! We are still building and growing thanks to the good Lord! Here are some updates on the barn and our faithful supervisor "Blackie" staying on top of her workload! We have insulated the front face, installed the stall floors and ran electric to the new barn. We were also gifted some pre-loved stalls that we will clean, paint and use until we find exactly what we want. We couldn't be more grateful for that gift! Lots done and lots still to do! We can not wait to walk a patient into this barn!

The weather this week..... 🫩😴🥱🌧

This sweet girl improved and got so strong 💪 that she was ready to head home at the end of last week! Thankfully her owner is so kind to update us as she continues to grow and thrive! From such a rough start to running around in the grass, she is one lucky girl!
