Dr. Paul's Animal Clinic is a small animal veterinary clinic located less than a mile south of Niagara. Operated exclusively by Dr. Paul Lindstrom, formerly of Hometown Animal Hospital. I am getting back into the business of veterinary care part time for a few reasons. 1. I miss my patients and their owners. 3. I want to provide quality veterinary medicine at a reasonable cost. Visit my new website for more information.

I’m pretty sure there are two males from this beautiful litter of Brittanies still available. Please note for any one with an upcoming appointment that my lower back has made my abilities pretty limited and the schedule is full so please be prepared to assist a lot and be patient with me.

This was my best friend, Bess, for almost 15 years. I had to put her down about a month ago. It was too painful to announce until now. I love what I do and I have no intention of retiring any time soon but there will be changes at Dr. Paul's Animal Clinic. You all know my hours and how crazy it gets here. I have been trying to absorb some of the displaced from the closure of Amberg but I can no longer assure you that I will be able to accept you. I have no desire to work beyond my existing hours and in fact, due to other interests and responsibilities my accessibility for emergencies after hours is becoming extremely limited. Dr. Paul's is transitioning into a solely surgical and wellness clinic. What this means is that should I diagnose your pet with a chronic disease like hyperthyroidism, diabetes, epilepsy, heart disease etc. I will be referring you to one of the other local clinics for continuing care. I don't feel that it is fair to you or your pet with my limited hours to accept that kind of responcibility. I have been doing this for almost 35 years now and I hope you all can appreciate my need to slow down a bit. Dr. Paul

12/07/2022

Please note- Dr. Paul will be on vacation from January 10 through January 23.

10/27/2022

In response to the unfortunate and unforeseen circumstance of the Amberg Veterinary Hospital closure, Dr. Paul's Animal Clinic will be available, for as long as possible, to accept new clients. Please be aware that my hours are limited to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8am to 2pm. To become an established client you will need to fill out a registration form in person and provide written copies of pertinent medical history, such as vaccination status, heartworm testing and other lab work. Because of my limited hours and already frantic schedule I would advise that patients with conditions requiring more intense monitoring; like heart disease, epilepsy, diabetes etc. seek out another clinic. The best time to register in person would be between 10:00am and noon. Dr. Paul, and my assistant Bob, will do all we can to make your transition possible. Dr. Paul

Just a quick note to explain that the mysteious illness that has been killing dogs in northern Michigan and now the UP has been confirmed by the state Veterinary Diagnostic Lab to be indeed Parvo virus. For some reason it is not coming up positive on a lot of in clinic tests. If your dog is up to date on DHPP it should be protected. One of those P's stands for Parvo. Please also note that although I have held my fees steady for over 5 years now since starting Dr. Paul's, rising costs for anesthetics, sutures, propane, vaccinations and pharmaceuticals are forcing me to update. As always, I will post the prices on the website.

Some days I can’t resist playing James Herriot. Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention in the last post that I will still see new clients for surgery and dental procedures. Dr. Paul

03/01/2022

Unfortunately for those of you still in need, the response to my post less than a month ago stating that I would see new clients was so tremendous that I must once again state that I am not currently taking any new clients. I will let you know if this changes. Thank you all. Dr. Paul

I am sorry to say that due to the exorbitant cost of maintaining a DEA license I am forced to increase my euthanasia costs. I will update the website. Dr. Paul

For at least a limited time, Dr. Paul will again be accepting new clients. Sorry, didn't have the time or energy to include a snappy picture

The sweetest little kitten from the shelter, having it's eye removed. We aren't sure how it was injured. It is making a recovery and adapting to the loss of its eye quite well.

I must announce that I am now unable to accept new clients. Although I would love to meet all of your pet care needs, I have reached my capacity. I will continue to accept new appointments for surgery and dental care, as well as meet the day-to-day needs of my current clients. Thank you for your support, understanding and the many referrals I have received. -Dr. Paul Lindstrom
