UPDATE: Khaki, Mallard and Ryan Gooseling are SAFE!
Please consider fostering to help Apple, Cayuga and Muscovy. They are the sweetest babies ever🥰
🐶🐶🐶IMMEDIATE FOSTERS NEEDED🐶🐶🐶
Recently, six abandoned puppies, lovingly dubbed the "Dumped Ducklings," have come into the Lexington Animal Shelter’s care. These sweet babies have had a rough start in life and urgently need rescue groups help to provide the care, resources, and eventual forever homes they deserve. We would love to help these little ones and if you would love to foster, please call or text Karla at 405 245-3357.
Here’s a little about the Dumped Ducklings:
Apple: Apple is the most social and curious of the group. This playful pup seems to understand that good behavior leads to treats, toys, or food! Currently weighing 9.7 pounds, Apple is likely a shepherd mix—possibly with Aussie or Brittany. He’s eager to please and loves people, making him a joy to be around.
Cayuga: With her beautiful brown eyes, Cayuga is always tuned in to the energy around her. Weighing 6.8 pounds, she loves playtime and naptime equally. Cayuga’s favorite activities include tug-of-war and snuggling with her siblings for cozy naps. A good chew toy will be a must for this playful pup.
Khaki: Khaki is a shy boy with stunning blue-green eyes. At 10 pounds, he’s slow to adjust to new surroundings but loves toys and cuddles once he feels comfortable. This sweet boy would thrive in a patient, loving environment where he can blossom.
Mallard: Mallard, at 6.6 pounds, resembles a smaller, lighter-colored version of Khaki with the same enchanting blue-green eyes. Despite her angelic looks, Mallard is a playful mischief-maker who’d happily chew on a shoelace if given the chance! She’ll bring endless joy to any family.
Muscovy: Muscovy, currently weighing 8.5 pounds, is a lot like her sister Cayuga with adorable brown eyes and a love for play. But Muscovy is the sneaky one of the group, always on the lookout for opportunities to create excitement. She thrives on playtime and mischief, keeping everyone entertained.
Ryan Gooseling: Our "odd duck," Ryan Gooseling, is the smallest of the group at 6.5 pounds. Black and brown with perfect brown eyes and small markings that resemble eyebrows, Ryan has the sweetest expressions. Though she looks different from her siblings, Ryan is just as playful, sneaky, and mischievous as the rest.
These puppies are a mixed bunch, and we suspect they may not all be from the same litter. All are in the playful, teething stage and need chew toys, lots of love, and care.
Our rescue will provide all these precious puppies need, food, supplies, vetting and eventually loving forever homes! You’ll enjoy hours of laughing, playing and loving these bundles of joy❣️
