While working on customer mounts, I decided to take a couple of them to the Northern New England Taxidermy Competition this year.

The finished deer I brought took a 3rd place in the professional division. While I was proud of the deer, I know there’s room for improvement and hope to take a 1st next year!

I also decided to try my hand at the first ‘Maine Event’ live 3 hour timed wet mounting competition. To mount a deer in a room full of and in front of some of the best is humbling and nerve racking…. I was very proud of my deer and was shocked to win the Maine Event! I hope they continue with this one, I learned a ton in the process.

SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!!!! With Deer Season among us and Moose Season right around the corner, I would like to take a moment and say good luck to all Hunter's! I am also Happy to say after a record year last year that we will not be raising our prices this year. Inflation has hit us all in the Wallet's for most of the year and we don't want to contribute to that problem. I had the opportunity to compete in my first competition in August at the Northern New England Taxidermy Championships. I had a great time and learned a lot! Looking forward to making improvements in quality based off feedback and cranking out some mounts!
