For our annual pool members and our hourly rentals - we have added a new Air Retrieve rig!! if you are coming to practice you are welcome to give it a try! and Friday weather permitting we plan to play from 4 to 8! $10 a dog, come have fun and play and give it a try!! practice before our next event!!

we had one awesome day today doing our fun thing! Dock Diving!! i’m planning some special games and fun activities tomorrow, not to late to come out and give it a try!! the water is in the 80’s, we have plenty of shade, fresh water and plenty of parking! we’ll do some try it’s, more powder pics and trophies! come sign up for some fun!!

these puppies and more need our help. their foster has worked hard to raise them after finding them on the streets and homeless. if you can help us help them, please add food donations this weekend to the back of my car and i’ll carry it to them! thanks!!

On Jan 1, 2024 we will be shutting the pool down for some remodeling/ construction corrections to make it even better for the spring! It’s so cold, figure this will be a good time to make our repairs! We’ll be adding to the base, staining the deck - just make it a little more comfortable - I’ll let you know when it’s back up, expect it to be available by March for sure;)

We are all set to head to Aransas Pass second weekend of April for some big jumps at NADD K9 Coastal, my fav place!! Several new folks are joining us there, let me know if you are going so we can make sure to have enough goodies for everyone!! Planning on some cooking, drinks - it’s going to be fun!!

Well, it’s almost time! I am so proud that our little team has worked hard and got invited to NADD Nationals, hosting dogs from all over the US and Canada! Bonnie Belle is loaded, the dogs have had their practice and we are heading out Tuesday! We all owe thanks for training help from Team Camo, for the videos and pictures from everyone in our group and our two guys Hal and Carroll who take such good care of us holding dogs, setting up and allowing us to enjoy our favorite sport! Wish us luck, we are excited and ready. I should be back LATE Sunday and reopen on Monday!! And in the meantime let’s start getting ready for next year!

sign up starts at Noon, Jumping at 12:30! I am not promising food truck this time, but the weather is cooler and we still have some sweet 2020 Trophies to pass out for too averages! $5 a splash (practice plus 2 scored jumps)...prep for the upcoming Regionals or just to finish the year!

If you think you will join us would you answer with yes, number of dogs so we can sort of count the traffic? Hope you can!

“Off Season” conditioning and training can continue during winter months. Now is the time to work on your throwing technique, your dog’s muscle tone and strength. We have visited with the vets, trainers and competitors for tips to help you for next year.

1). The pool remains open and available for use. Please use your good judgement and monitor water temp. What’s right for my dog may be to cold for yours. Doggie Wet suits can be ordered to help keep them warm.

2). My vet has a chiropractor on staff for adjustments. I am sure there are others available for us all, if you think it will help your dog talk to your vet. after an adjustment there is a recommended training slow down - again, talk to your vet!

3). Make sure all your shot records are up to date. A good suggestion was to download to your phone so you have a copy with you at all times.

4). Roadwork!! For my dog, my vet suggested 2 miles a day wearing a weighted vest.

5). Lure coursing - the opportunity for your dog to do body building chasing a lure on a large pulley system. It’s all about the turning and digging in trying to catch the lure. Recommend building up the muscle tone - DO NOT OVER DO -

We will have a schedule and price list for the lure course we have available for use. Remember you are responsible for your dog, I do NOT want any of our babies hurt or sick because you thought if a little was good a lot was better!!

Now is a time to get your portable fans, wet suits, equipment to make your fun time more enjoyable. Invest in a good crate - nothing fun about holding your dog while you wait your turn.

Let’s get ready now!!

That sad time of year when the dock diving events start winding down as the pools get cooler😪....

Still to come 8 of our crew invited to what is being called Regionals in October....last year we had one invite for the group, 8 this year ...... what will next year bring😁??!??

In November everyone has a last chance to jump at one of our favorite pools in ARansas Pass for a Saturday and Sunday and there are several of us planning on going! I know Repeat got his personal best there, as several of our other dogs have too. Great place to get started - they heat the pool for our babies!

And then we start getting ready for jumps usually beginning in March...is it March yet? Stay tuned for some training/conditioning tips to help you get ready!
