🎄☀️ Christmas in July at Elation Brewing! 🎅Join Friends of Norfolk Animal Care Center for Pet Photos with Santa on Saturday, July 26th, from 1–4 PM at Elation Brewing in Norfolk!

🎅 Summer Santa is making a special trip from the North Pole, beachwear and all, for a festive photo op with your pup! Snap the perfect Christmas card pic with a fun, beachy holiday backdrop.

📸 Black Dog Photography will be on-site to capture your pet’s moment in the spotlight. In return, simply Pick Your Pet Pantry Price and help support the Norfolk Animal Care Center Pet Pantry:

🐱 $10 = a large bag of cat food
🐶 $25 = a large bag of dog food
🐾 $35 = a bag of both cat and dog food

☕ After your pup’s photo shoot, sip on a beer at Elation or grab a festive Christmas-themed drink from Voyager Coffee to keep the holiday vibes going!

All donations go directly to helping keep pets in their homes and out of the shelter. Come sip, snap, and support shelter pets with us!

Prince the adoptable Cane Corso is all dressed up and ready to celebrate! NACC will be closed today, Friday July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. During the closure, please hold onto & reunite animals when you find them as we will be closed and unable to accept strays. If you are in need of emergency animal assistance, call the Police Non-Emergency Dispatch at 757-441-5610 for the Animal Protection Unit.

We will reopen on Saturday the 5th from 1:30-6pm for adoption viewing, hope to see you here!

Hi all! My name is Ja’Koda and I’m the coolest mix breed you’ll meet. The shelter thinks I could be a pitbull/husky mix “Pitsky” and I have enough energy to go go go for days! Update: Adopted! 🌟 Shelter Star Spotlight🌟 Patsy is still waiting for a loving home. She is a 6-year-old sweetheart with a calm soul and a heart full of love. She’s the perfect mix of mellow and playful, past the puppy stage but still full of energy for fun adventures!

She loves cuddles, makes human friends everywhere she goes, and gets along great with her foster dog siblings (both small and medium-sized). Patsy’s favorite thing? Resting her head in your lap for some quality snuggle time. 💕

Henrietta came by the Friends of the Norfolk Animal Care Center/Compact Canine Rescue joint adoption event to hopefully meet an adopter today! She has done great with all the dogs inside and outside of the brewery and has loved meeting everyone who has walked past her. She has been in foster for a year waiting for someone to fall in love with her, won’t it be you? She’s in foster with cats, and has previously lived with dogs and horses!

☀️HENRIETTA 🌊 This fun loving 3 year old pup has been in our care since 6/10/24, yes you read that right - a whole YEAR of searching for a family to adopt her! She has been staying back and forth at the shelter and in foster homes who have all said very similar things about her: She is a very sweet dog with lots of energy, great with cats, dogs, and doesn't mind horses. She definitely doesn’t know her size and can be quite a bull in a china shop at times, but she is so lovable!
