Happy 20th Birthday, PoochieBells! 🎉

20 years ago, I held a simple idea in my hands—dog doorbells to help our best friends communicate with us. I couldn’t be convinced otherwise. It wasn’t just about potty training; it was about connection, understanding, and giving dogs a voice. I wanted to create a handcrafted dog doorbell that represented the best quality—a tool built to last a lifetime, from puppyhood to golden years.

Since then, there have been many moments of doubt, days when I questioned everything. But this pet industry, along with my family and friends, caught me in those moments, reminding me to listen within and believe in myself. And this little bell, with its paw print insignia, reminded me why I started—to bridge the gap between people and their pets.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey. I can’t wait to see what the next 20 years brings for PoochieBells. 🐾

The love that defines PoochieBells is evident in every joyful ring, in every wagging tail, and in the stories you've shared with us. Your trust in this dream has allowed us to witness the beautiful companionship you share with your pets.

As we reflect on 19 wonderful years, my heart is full of gratitude. Looking ahead, I'm eager to embrace the future, anticipating many more Februarys, each a new chapter in our story of love and companionship.

Many dogs are owner-surrenderd to animal shelters due to housetraining problems. "And a substantial number of behavior-related visits to veterinarians involve the same issue," wrote Dr. Karen Becker in a recent Barks & Whiskers blog. "In my experience, one of the main reasons housetraining fails is because dog parents tend to view their canine family members as furry humans. They react to pet accidents on the floor the same way they would react if a person left the mess."
