When people come into our shop with their buck and say things like "he had his hair standing up walking to the stand" or the personal favorite... "he was all puffed up" 9/10 the deer has a mane or "Mohawk".

This was one of the most prominent ones I've had come through the door and yes, it will transfer to your finished trophy.

WE NEED EXTRA CAPES.

We're looking for 4-5 extra capes to make shoulder mounts happen for people who have had miscommunications with their processor, or that didn't find their trophy for several days.

We are willing to offer a discount on a European mount for those of you who have caped their deer properly and are willing to let us use it.

Or we can offer a trade for Bever Taxidermy hats, stickers, koozies, or even a cold beer.

A Little PSA to my firearm clients...

Go get your capes from your processor! You can get your cape before the meat is done. The difference in dropping off this weekend verses next could mean a 6 month difference in getting your mount back.

If you pack the body cavity with ice, please cape your deer first if you want to get it mounted, the water running down into the head as it melts can cause alot of issues with hair slipping, especially if you freeze the head after before bringing to us.

We need about 5" of the neck meat still attached to the head for accurate measurements for your form. If the deer is skinned all the way to the base of the skull, we have to error on the side of caution on your measurements.

The last few bucks from 2023 are heading out the door this week and we'll be diving into 2024.
