City ordinance States that the animals outside left in extreme weather conditions need to have proper shelter and proper Has been the week link And people have interpreted that in many different ways but if you dig further it has to have at least 3 sides not just a link to and there has to be unfrozen water. There are Places to get hay bales To stack around the shelter and there are many items for sale to provide a heat source. If you have a short hair dog that is not built for Winter time And you think 0ﾟ or colder is fine for them to be left outside, you are absolutely a 100% wrong and just because they might be able to survive that night and they're alive the next day does not mean it's right to let them suffer and And struggle to survive. It's sick it's disgusting and if you don't agree then you should not have pets.

Last year I attempted to speak to city council after after realizing The police were not clear on the ordinance and requirements of keeping dogs or cats outside During extreme weather conditions.
I didn't get to talk.
The mayor called me and he is an animal lover and said he would look through the ordinances and make sure the police understood exactly what is lawfully required of pet owners.
If you call the police because you see an animal freezing and basically being tortured and they don't go out and verify that there is specific proper shelter and unfrozen water then you let me know.
Post any Concerns here where they are documented And we will go make sure again that that people are Held accountable and are EDUCATED regarding their Legal responsibilities.
