What a great way to end the year!!

Thank you to the Briones Family and all the families who opened their homes and hearts to a shelter pet. It warms our hearts to know these babies have found found their humans.

Puppies, Puppies and more puppies--Oh MY!!!!

Guess the breed and win a puppy!

Well, actually no - BUT we do have puppies for adoption and your guess as to their breed is as good as ours. These puppies were abandoned in our of our parks and now are needing a new home. They are still young and have a lot of growing to do - so if you have the patience and room for a young pup - come on over and take a look.

The Adoption Center is open today and Saturday from noon to 6pm.

Christmas Adoption!!!

Duke came to the shelter in February of this year after reports of being hit by a train. He was still able to run from two animal services officers and one police officer though. Luckily he stopped long enough to know that we were just there to help him and we were able to safely secure him.

Miraculously he had no broken bones, just scrapes and soreness. As he was recovering, he began to be very selective in who he wanted to trust - understandably. The Animal Services Team worked patiently with him and he began to trust the us more and more, but finding him the right family was still a work in progress.
Duke did not show well in the kennels, everyone felt he was aggressive because of the way he reacted to people at his window and thus no one ever really wanted to meet with him.

Then one day the right person came in, at the right time and asked the right questions. Their journey started in October after Duke had been here for almost 7 months. They would come in once a week to sit and play with Duke so that he got to know them better and they him.

Merry Christmas Duke!!! He is now Home for the Holidays.

It fills our hearts and souls with so much warmth this holiday to know that Christmas miracles still happen.

Thank you for adopting Duke and giving him the best life ever.

Duncan is still looking for a new home. He is very particular with other dogs so a meet and greet is highly recommended.

The Adoption Center is open Tuesday thru Saturday from noon to 6 pm but we ask that you be here no later than 5:30 to give you plenty of time to meet your new friend as well as to complete the adoption paperwork.
