I came back from a walk with Hercules, & I found this under my car! I grabbed a quarter & put it down for scale. Anybody know what bird it's from?

It may be a bit too late, but I was asked so...
Acceptable bday presents:
- Things that say "Vintage 1983" or "Joy."
- Iridescent things. "Iridescent" has been my favorite color for YEARS, and still is.
- bird food, bird feeders, bird houses...
- hardy plants that come back every year (bulbs are VERY nice) or garden plants & herbs
- tall shepherd crooks for hanging above things
- consumables: snackies.
- useful things: things I can use to death or use once and it's gone (food)

Dislikes:
- things that have my age or that it's my birthday. These things are quite irritating as they have a very short use. 1983 does it well enough.
- novelty items that cannot be reused, are awkward to store
- gift cards & coupons. They get forgotten and just take up space.

Sizes:
- men's 2x, 44" shoe 7.5
- women's 2x, 3x. 22, 24. Shoe 9.5 wide, 10.
Height: 5'6" long torso.

I am happy to announce that I treated Herx for worms, and he is 100% back to normal. He is no longer having anxiety attacks. He is exploring the yard on his own again, hunting for mice, voles, small prey, and telling off all the squirrels, teenagers, adults, and dogs that get near the yard. ❤

We are still going on regular walks, and he does well with free-range children and other dogs, but only if they are off leash. It nice to see him socializing again. ❤

Herx has been having trouble lately. He panics in the morning when I go to work, in the middle of the night, and at 6pm. I can't afford to doggie daycare him, and crate training is not an option. My husband can't work from home anymore, so I've been walking him in the morning and in the evening to help wear him out. We have a vet visit scheduled to check for health issues that might be causing him pain and for recommends or meds to help with pain and anxiety.

My suspicion is that with age, encroaching blindness, refusal to take arthritis preventative doses (Dasiquin), he may also be developing dementia.

He's gotten sweet in his old age, but he's also getting clingy and more anxious. I don't know how much longer I'll have him or when he'll hear Buster calling him from the other side of the rainbow Bridge.

This is a sweet moment my husband shared with me from his day off while I'm at work. Herx has his squirrel toy in his mouth.

He's taken to grabbing one and taking it on the walk with him around the yard. My husband walks the yard with him when he gets home. It seems to soothe Herx to have our company where he used to have Buster's to do the "permiter check."
