🚨🐴 Equine Emergency Training in Action🐴🚨

Yesterday, our staff joined forces with our local first responders and the MSPCA for hands on training in equine rescue techniques.

From learning how to safely extricate a horse from a trailer accident to coordinating in emergency situations, this collaborative effort ensures our team- and our communities- are better prepared when every second counts. ⏰

We are proud to stand by those who work tirelessly to protect both people and animals. A huge thank you to Roger and Kaycie of the MSPCA for sharing their expertise and to our incredible first responders for their partnership! 🚑 🚨🐴

🎉 Exciting News🎉

We are thrilled to announce that our incredible intern for 2024/2025, Dr. Katie George has completed her year long internship at Ocean State Equine and will now by joining us as an associate veterinarian! 🐴

Over the past year, Dr. George has impressed us all with her dedication and outstanding care for our equine patients. It has been a pleasure to watch her grow and fit in seamlessly as a part of the OSEA team- and we couldn’t be happier that she’s here to stay!

We want to inform our clients that Dr. Guillermo Cardona will be leaving our practice at the end of this month to pursue an opportunity in Aiken, South Carolina.

Dr. Cardona has been a wonderful part of our team, providing exceptional care to our patients. While we are sad to see him go, we wish Dr. Cardona all the best in this new chapter and know he will continue to make a positive impact in the equine community.

As of June 1st, we will no longer be providing elective surgery services. If this changes in the future, we will definitely let you all know. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
