Every time I see this photo of Cody from November 24, 2014 I can’t resist it! I sure do love my precious Cody Bug ❤️ He has a lot more silver now but he’s still just as handsome and adorable. I remember this day clear as a bell too. 😊❤️

Mommy came up wif a diffewent idea to keeps da shea butter ointment ons my throat area and keeps it clean until the last bit of healing is done. Mommy’s furiend saids I look like an Angel. Da first puckshure is what I thinks about wearing a cone. Pffft! Da 2nd puckshure is an experiment wif a vewy old but clean organic cotton kitchen towel. I cans handle dis awound my throat and feels just abouts normal. We wents for da longest walkie I habs been on since da surgery. It was a gweat walk ands I loved my snifarri on da way home. Mommy still habs to puts da shea butter/beeswax ands coconut oil ons my throat frum where I scwatched it open but it looks much better. Happy Wednesday and Happy Fall season! Mommy is praying onwy a couple more days ob me needing to wear dis cone. Da post surgical site on my throat looks better today den it dids yesterday 👏👏👏 I am gwads dis cone is soft inside. Mommy figured a way to fold it back when I eat and go outside. Dats way better den da fweaky, scary loud noise da velcro makes to takes it on and off. I hated dat sound. It was tewwible! Mommy saids phooey on dealing wif dat cuz she neber wants me to feel scared. So she just kepts bending it untils she coulds fold it back for me. Habs a gweat day! Don’t forgets to put on your smile! Happy Friday furiends. Yes I habs to wear a cone again. When mommy was on da step ladder putting da curtain rod back up I was in da kitchen waiting for her.
My throat started itching so I dids what dogs do ands scwatched it hard! Mommy heards me and cames as fast as she coulds. When I do things I do a good job. Dis was no excepshun. I dids a good job of tearing open my surgical site. It may habs been a good job but it’s not a good thing. Mommy cweaned it good. She puts da bacitracin on it ands my new more comfy cone. She saids I cans habs it offs to eat. Since dats da onwy time I would not twy to scwatch it. Ifs I comes up whens you say prayers, pwease say a prayer my throat surgical site will completely heal. My back leg surgery site is doing wonderful. It has a good scab on it dat wills fall off whens its time. Now how do scabs know hows to do dat? Pwetty amazing huh? I was so happy to get such thoughtful ands lovely get well cards. Mommy read dem to me though ands tolds me I was so well loved by my furiends. I tolds her I ams so gwateful to habs da bestest furiends a doggy could eber hab. She saids I shure do! I aure ams a happy boy to habs dat cone of pain off. I was vewy scared going to da vet cuz I thought dey were going ms to do surgery agins. Da sweet vet assistants won me ober by hugging me and telling me dey werey taking back for surgery. When dey mades me feel better I was calm and got da stitches out. Da best part is cone free now ! Hello pawsome furiends. If all goes well I go to the vet dr Tuesday to find out if da stitches can be removed. Mommy habs been taking vewy good care ob me. She habs followed all da instructions dey pwinted out. Dere habs been so many prayers said for me we just know God’s protected me and we believe I will be completely healed from da surgery. Thank you agains for all da prayers, concern and love. I can’t wait to bwings extwa love, joy and’s laughter to my furiends agin when I ams all better!! Hello pawsome furiends! I ams definitely feeling better. I am not having as much pain. Da pain medicine is party why I don’t hurt so much. But I am also healing well thanks to all da prayers, love, conern and healing vibes frum my pawsome furiends. Mommy is happy to see me getting back to my smiling happy self. I’m so happy and relieved to find out the biopsies done for Cody came back as non-cancerous! Thank you so much for your prayers. God protected Cody and I’m so thankful.

Cody needed a tumor removed from his back right leg and a growth removed from the outside of his throat. His surgery was done Monday, 8/21/23. It is really hard for me to ask for help when there are countless needs too many others are dealing with. Yet, the total expenses with the vet exams, medication and the surgical removals came to $945.65. This is a huge expense which is difficult for me to pay. I had to put the charges on a credit card and I will be very grateful for any help to pay this debt. No amount is too small. Every dollar will really help me. I understand how difficult it is for others as well. If you can only donate $1 there is no shame in that. Your thoughtfulness to do even that will still be very appreciated.
