Good Morning every dog and human! I just wanted to say thank you for an awesome 2025. Entering 2026 I want to say I appreciate all the clients long term and new ones.
However I want to make a reminder, this business isn’t run on corporate beliefs of only making money. There are 3 groomers and 1 bather, 3 people who are in school, 4 who have families and other obligations outside of my building and I will always believe that family takes precedence over a job. Lately we have had a lot of expectations thrown at us, requests that I know you wouldn’t expect out of your own human hairdresser or out of a doctor. Same day appointments are RARELY available. And right now we are booking toward the end of the month. BOARDING AND DAYCARE DO NOT GUARANTEE A SPOT FOR GROOMING (nor is it a hack to get your dog on the book faster than everyone else). I offered these extra services for cheaper rates to help the community who isn’t working on a two family income, or who can’t break the bank. My beliefs have always been to give back to the community to help keep every pet comfortable.
I’m also not going to push pets beyond limits, if a dog tells me it’s done or it doesn’t want something to happen, I am not forcing that pet any further nor will my staff be instructed to. If a dog is matted to the bone, we will not brush that out, it is not our responsibility to maintain a coat we see monthly or every 6 months. I’m going to do the most ethical thing for that pet and that’s why dogs love coming here. This shop function on humanity over vanity.
This salon means more to me than anything because I can’t own every dog I see but I can love them when they come in my facility, but we are people. We get burned out, we get exhausted. I appreciate you all, and I look forward to the new faces we meet this year.
