We see an uptick in abandoned dog cases in the summer, mainly because many move, go on vacation, and don't take their pets with them, or decide they are inconvenienced. We will hold back our tongue, but please, consider helping these souls find a foster / forever home. They deserve a loving family and a second chance at happiness.

She was discovered at a wildlife sanctuary, where she followed a group of peacocks to seek shelter during a thunderstorm. She charmed everyone there with her gentle demeanor and friendly personality.

Leilah is not only lovable but also well-trained. She walks perfectly on a leash and obediently returns to her kennel when commanded. This is unbelievable… her owners brought her to the vet to be euthanized because they were tired of her!!! Thankfully she was rescued and safe, an is now being fostered in Norwalk. Lainey has been stuck waiting for her forever home since September. SEPTEMBER!! Sweet and calm. Lainey was fostered by a kind person but could not keep her her forever. Now she sits in a crummy Texas kill shelter. Please, please won’t someone help save her. She is so deserving. Such a good girl!! She was found out and about with two heeler puppies who found homes. Lexie was found out and about on her own. Life isn’t easy on the mean streets of Texas! That doesn’t hold her back though. She really couldn’t be any sweeter or gentler. She adores other dogs and loves to play. But she’s really a people dog. She loves to interact with everyone.

Attn. husky lovers! Melissa is one of the most beautiful huskies that have ever come into the shelter (unfortunately for her!!). She is very gentle! She adores other dogs. Loves to be around people. Has been checked with kids 7 years old and loves them. This precious girl is in need of a couch to nap on.
