Well it has been a LONG TIME since I have posted anything…why? Well, I fostered a dog which kept Olive and I busy….and after he (Charlie) left for his forever family, Olive was sad…she stopped eating…and refused to go on walks….so we welcomed a new brother into our lives….not just any brother…but it is Olives’s half brother (they have the same mother) ~ Chocolate Mousse Tracks ~ yea I know I’m a fatty naming him after food 🤪

So Mousse is almost 8 months and a HAND FULL, but typical puppy! I am now trying to find my baking groove back because I miss it. I mean I bake the sweet potatoes for them both…started making my own dog food (yea you read that right…who would think I would want to be cutting up beef liver ~🤢~but I do!) and for me it is a stress reliever…no cell phone…no TV…just baking and waiting for timers!

So get ready for some treats to drop👇🏻👇🏻but until that happens…here are some photos of Charlie and Mousse! ❤️

OK! Seriously everyone! These Pup Pretzels as we call them in our house are amazing! I ate 8 straight out of the oven (🤦🏻‍♀️I know!!)

These by far are Olive’s Favorite Treats!!! They could even be a human treat!

Ingredients:
Ground Oats
Gluten Free Oats
Mashed Banana
Applesauce

Yum! $6 for 16 treats or $8 for 20 treats
It will be the best money spent! Message me the size of your dog and I can adjust the pretzel size.

*My dog is medium size and she munches on those in the picture like a bully stick!
For those that know what a Snyder’s sourdough pretzel is...that’s the equivalent (but tastier in my opinion)!

So here are the Dog Gone Treats...for those that are curious as to what they look like! Olive loves them, hence the name because they are gone before I know it 🤪

They only have 3 ingredients:
Oat Flour
Peanut Butter
Pumpkin

Remember pumpkin is good...and always check with your vet but some benefits:
Boost immune - vitamin C
Moisturizes their skin and coat with the vitamin A and zinc

1/2 - 1 treat per day for dogs under 20 lbs

1 - 2 treats per day for dogs 21 - 49lbs

2 - 3 treats per day for dogs 50+

OK this month I am promoting Apple Crisps! Why??? Well first it is only ONE ingredient, an apple that you can enjoy with your furbaby!

All the stuff that is in an apple, that is good for us, works wonders for your pup! It has fiber, vitamin A and C and antioxidants. Some believe vitamin C helps with hip dysplasia which is common in medium and large purebred dogs. Apples contain omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids , which contribute to your dogs healthy coat and can even control - yup - skin allergies (which helps Olive).

I can make these WITH or WITHOUT cinnamon which cinnamon has health benefits, including anti-inflammatory, antifungal and antibacterial properties. You can mix and match and happy to package separately!

1 apple (currently using granny smith) = $6 bag (produces approximately 17 pieces*)

It is recommended no more than 2 servings/day
*apple size may not produce 17 pieces - please keep in mind

OK so I was motivated to start a page to document my journey to help other pawrents spoil their pets. I am a CRAZY dog mom (I won't deny it)! I just love Olive so much. A little about Olive. She is a female Portuguese Water Dog and anyone that has met her knows, she has SOME personality and may be part Greyhound because can she RUN (you would never know she has a hear murmur)!

She has one fursibling, Sasha Fierce AKA Kitty Kitty or Sissy. Sissy is female cat (mix BUT DEFINITELY part Siamese because of her cry) that is deaf and partially paralyzed. She was also burned, so has some scars and missing fur in those spots, but as her name says it - MAN she is FIERCE! They fight like "cats and dogs," but do love each other.

Olive came when I had Tucker (Tuck) and he was also a PWD, but passed in Dec 2018 from cancer. Olive for the 1st year had it tough. We were at the emergency vet monthly and it wasn't until the end of 2020 that she was diagnosed with IBS, acid reflux and food sensitivities. So being THAT mom, I am all about keeping her healthy and her tummy happy.

I thought SINCE I am making them for her, perhaps other pawrents could benefit, so hence today, 4/3/2021 is the start of Olive Oyl's Favorite Treats!

I will post a new recipe and whether we will take orders!
