🍁 Maple’s Battle Isn’t Over — She Needs Us More Than Ever!
💔 Fast Forward to Today…
Maple is now struggling with serious neurological problems. Some days she can stand — but most days she tries to walk and immediately flops over. She’s still eating, still fighting, but she hasn’t grown much, and her mobility is worsening.
Her primary vet suspects:
Hydrocephalus (fluid in the brain) or
Cerebellar Hypoplasia (a brain development disorder)
Her fontanelle (soft spot) hasn’t closed, which points to a neurological condition — something only a CT scan or advanced imaging can confirm.
🧠 What’s Next?
Maple has an appointment with a neurologist this Saturday. We know they’ll likely recommend a CT scan, which will cost thousands — but we refuse to give up on her.

💖 UPDATE: GEMMA & JADEN ARE SAFE! 💖
After days of worry, stress, and heartbreak — we are so relieved to share that Gemma (4 yrs, black & white mama) and Jaden (3 yrs, all black son) are now SAFE and settled in with an amazing foster home!
🙏 Out of all the comments, likes, and shares — only ONE foster actually stepped up, and that one person has now changed their lives forever. We are beyond grateful. Thank you Cathy Coca-Cola!
Within hours of arriving, Gemma and Jaden made themselves right at home — exploring, playing, cuddling, and gazing out the window like they’ve been there all along. They are incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate — truly the kind of cats who win your heart instantly.

🚨🚨 THIS IS NOW AN EMERGENCY — FOSTER NEEDED BY TOMORROW 🚨🚨
It has been 48 hours since we first posted about a bonded mother-and-son pair being abandoned by their adopters with only 3 days’ notice.
Despite hundreds of shares, comments, and “so sad” reactions, NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON has stepped up to foster.
At this point — sympathy isn’t enough.
We don’t need more “poor babies.”
**We need ACTION. We need a foster — BY TOMORROW.
Why this is now critical:
The adopters refuse to transport them anywhere.
We have nowhere to put them.
Without a secured foster, we cannot guarantee their safety.
💔 Yes — they are ADULTS.
And let’s be real: if they were tiny kittens, we wouldn’t be begging like this.
Everyone wants kittens — but who will stand up for the grown cats who have already lost their home?

🚨 EXTREMELY URGENT — FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED WITHIN 72 HOURS 🚨
We are heartbroken — and deeply frustrated — to share that two of our previously adopted cats (a mother and her now-grown kitten) are being returned with only THREE DAYS’ notice.
To make matters worse, the adopters are refusing to transport them anywhere, leaving us scrambling to secure their safety. We are extremely concerned that without immediate help, these cats could end up in a dangerous or unstable situation.
These girls have been in a loving home since 2022. They are bonded, social, and fully vetted. Now, through no fault of their own, they’re about to lose everything familiar to them.
❗️We do NOT have space to take them back on such short notice.
❗️We need a COMMITTED foster or adopter IMMEDIATELY in the NY/NJ area.
❗️Transport help from NYC is also urgently needed.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
🏠 A reliable foster or adopter willing to take a bonded pair
🚗 Someone able to help with transport from NYC to safety
❤️ Someone who understands that animals are FAMILY, not disposable when life gets inconvenient
We are doing everything in our power, but this sudden surrender puts tremendous strain on our rescue. We refuse to let these cats fall through the cracks — but we can’t do it without help.

🌟 Meet Maple, our tiny fall fighter 🍁
Last week, Maple was found in Linden with her head stuck between rocks. By the time she was rescued, her little face was badly swollen, and she was in urgent need of medical care. 💔
She was found to have a serious infection, high fever, and severe dehydration. Once she was taken in by us her abscess was drained, she was started on antibiotics and subcutaneous fluids, and she had to be syringe-fed to keep her strength up.
The vet gave little hope at first… but Maple has proven she’s a fighter. ✨ Every day she pushes through, showing us she wants her chance at life.
Now she needs us more than ever. Your support will help cover her medical bills, medications, and the continued care that’s keeping her alive.

🚨 URGENT – Sweet Friendly Cat Needs Placement 🚨
Yesterday morning, one of our fosters found a beautiful, friendly cat hanging around her home. She left for work, and when she returned that evening, the cat was still there waiting. She fed her, and this sweet girl was so friendly she could be picked up and brought inside.

Unfortunately, our foster is already full and cannot keep her. Our rescue is also at capacity—just like so many others right now—so we’re reaching out for help.

🐾 If you’re willing to foster, we would consider bringing her into our rescue if you can foster until adoption. We have no open foster homes to move her to later, and adoption applications are coming in very slowly at the moment.

🚨 URGENT – Sweet Luna Needs a Home 🚨(or new foster)

Four months ago, we rescued a young mama cat and her four babies from heartbreaking conditions. Luna had spent the first part of her life locked in a small crate in a dark, humid basement, raising her kittens without ever knowing sunlight, freedom, or love beyond those cramped walls.

All four of her babies have since been adopted… but Luna is still waiting for her happy ending. 💔

Now, her current foster no longer wants to foster her since the all the kittens were adopted, and we urgently need to find her a safe place to go. Luna is fully vetted, extremely friendly, playful, and only about a year old herself — she’s just a baby who has already been through so much.

We would love to place her in a forever home so she doesn’t keep getting bounced around, but we are also open to moving her to another foster until she’s adopted.

📍 She is currently in Elizabeth, NJ.
We provide all food, supplies, and medical care — you just provide the love and space she needs.

🚨 UPDATE & URGENT DONATION PLEA 🚨
Eve and her brother are finally safe with us — but we have some difficult news.

After being held at the shelter for a week, both cats are now in our care. While we’re relieved they’re out of the shelter and back with people who love them, we quickly learned that Eve is in far worse shape than we were told. 💔

The shelter mentioned her teeth looked bad — but we weren’t prepared for just how bad.
😿 Evee was not eating and her gums were bleeding. She couldn’t even drink water on her own. She was rushed to our vet, where she received:
✔️ A full blood panel
✔️ Pain management
✔️ Antibiotic injection

The doctor confirmed she’s too weak for dental surgery right now. First, we need to:
🩺 Fight off the infection
💪 Help her gain strength
😿 Control her pain

Once she’s strong enough, they’ll reevaluate — but it’s likely she’ll need a full dental extraction due to the severity of her condition.

📉 We don’t know how long Eve may have been in pain, or how long she went without care after her owner passed away. But she is safe now, and we’re doing everything we can to give her a second chance.

💸 The costs are already adding up:

🚨UPDATE 7/21/25🚨
TRANSPORT STILL NEEDED for either tomorrow between 3-5pm, or wednesday between 10:30am-5pm.
The cats are still at the shelter as the shelter had them on hold for a week as it is their policy to hold cats where the owners died for a week to see if the next of kin comes in to claim them (which no one did).
If you can help transport from STATEN ISLAND ACC to NUTLEY NJ tomorrow or Wednesday during these times please reach out to us ASAP!

🚨 URGENT TRANSPORT NEEDED – STATEN ISLAND, NY ➡️ NUTLEY, NJ 🚨

We are in urgent need of transport for two cats who were heartbreakingly surrendered to NYC ACC in Staten Island after their owner tragically passed away at just 40 years old.

One of the cats (the white one) is originally from our rescue, and thankfully, because she was microchipped with one of our chips, the shelter was able to contact us. But instead of reaching out to us directly, the family (or whomever was involved) simply surrendered both cats to the shelter 💔

This is yet another heartbreaking reminder that tomorrow is never promised. At just 40 years old, this pet owner likely never imagined needing a plan for her beloved animals. But this is why it’s so incredibly important to have arrangements in place for your pets, no matter your age.

💛 We are grateful that a foster has stepped up to take both cats together so we don’t have to leave the one not from our rescue behind, giving them a safe and loving landing. But we need help to get them there!

📍 We need a transport from Staten Island, NY to Nutley, NJ ASAP.
