Happy 6th Birthday to our very own Teddy Boy! He’s big, he’s bad, and he’s as cuddly as they get! Teddy never misses an opportunity to get into some mischief, and he is the absolute master of counter surfing. His favorite hobbies are theft, excessive barking, and completely ignoring personal space. We love him so very much and life would be way too boring without him! 🩵🐾🩵🐾🩵🐾

Not sure if you can make it to her Scrub-a-Thon fundraiser on the 12th? No problem! Come and shop this weekend and next to make a difference in this amazing girl’s life! Proceeds from every purchase will go toward covering the cost of her FHO surgery to repair her hip.

Surgery is scheduled on April 16th, and we hope to raise enough to cover the $3,600 surgery and hopefully have some reserves for physical therapy afterward. Scarlett will be at the shop so you can meet her in person and give her all the love! She is available for adoption through Once Upon A Prayer Pet Rescue and will thrive in a home with kids, dogs, cats, and anyone willing to give her love and affection!

Scarlett had a visit with Dr. Birks at the Veterinary Orthopedic Center, and he thinks we can give her a much better quality of life with a Femoral Head Ostectomy! She has severe arthritis in the left hip, and he thinks it is due to an old dislocation or traumatic injury that was never treated.

The good news is that her other hip looks great, and we don’t think there will be any dysplasia or ongoing issues once this is corrected. The surgery is $3,600, and she will also need some physical therapy afterward to restore muscle and function.

We will host a fundraiser scrub-a-thon to raise some money for her, so please stay tuned for dates and times. Her surgery is scheduled for April 16th, and we hope to raise the full amount before her surgery! If you’d like to make a donation outside of the scrub-a-thon, you can swing by the shop any time during business hours. Our goal is to get her ready for her forever home without passing on a significant financial burden to her adopters. We appreciate all of you for helping this beautiful girl get the life she deserves!
