Please meet our newest fosters, Reese (orange tabby kitty, 5mo) and Minnie (min pin mix puppy, 9wks)✨

As many of you know, Otto has been asking for a cat forever😅. So, I decided to meet him in the middle with our first ever cat foster. I was truly excited for him to have this experience, though admittedly a bit nervous too. Otto was quite literally buzzing when he realized Reese was in the house for the first time, and between that excitement and Miss Minnie 🐭, it definitely took a couple days for everyone to settle in and find our rhythm. We’re all learning as we go, together, and having fun too. I feel like I glean something new with each foster that stays with us, and I really appreciate that aspect of this work. Having a knowledgeable team of fellow fosters and volunteers is a huge bonus too🙏🏼

Fastest adoption in history…for us🥹

We picked up snuggle butt Steve on Saturday, and just last night (Tuesday) he went home with his forever family.

I often worry about how in the heck we’re going to continue caring for all the rescue dogs out there…how will we ever meet the growing need?? Adoptions like this feel like a refreshing deep breath…a soft nudge saying, “every little step helps, just do the next right thing.”

Did you know we’re making gently cooked freeze dried dog treats?

😁 It’s true!
🧑‍🍳 In addition to our raw, freeze dried trail mix treats for dogs, we now also have gently cooked treat options. This means they are cooked at a low temperature to preserve nutrition, before freeze drying.
🎁 So if you’re looking to treat your dog with something healthy (or perhaps some of your dog pals for the holidays🙌), mark your calendar for our next online shop drop on 11/15!
🤝 And if our treats are new to you, here’s the skinny - we (as in Lizzy w/ hecka moral support from Otto) make everything in house, in small batches, using whole foods sourced from local family farms and small businesses.
