One of my biggest concerns for domestic and wild animals is the higher stress levels and intense fear floating around the planet. Animals are affected by stress just like humans are. Animals are naturally empathic.

And in the case of dogs, dogs are fixers and they want to fix our problems. They take on our happiness as their responsibility. It's time to reassure the animals that they are safe. And part of that is becoming mindful and creating a safe space for ourselves.

Would you like to become a confident dog guardian?

1. Work on healing yourself, especially any cognitive issues.

2. Heal anxiety and fear within yourself and this will mirror in your dog.

3. Develop self-confidence because if you're not confident in other areas of your life, you won't be confident with your dog.

4. Set boundaries with others including your dog.

5. Make clear decisions and don't waffle back and forth.

Our dogs mirror our interior state back to us. They are our teachers if we allow them to be. They show us where we need improvement and also where we excel in our lives.

Since dogs mostly love us unconditionally, they just want us to be our best selves. When your dog is confident that is a reflection of you radiating your own confidence.

Chakras are energy centers that all beings have. One of the practices of Reiki is to clear, balance, and activate chakras, which are energy centers in the body.

With animals, I notice blocked root chakras which correlate with survival issues and I also noticed blockages in the throat chakra which as to do with personal expression.

Rescued animals tend to have more root chakra issues. And dogs or cats with bobbed tails also suffer from root chakra blockages. Whereas, animals who have their ears docked suffer from blockages in the third eye and crown chakras.

Dogs who are constantly told not to bark or express themselves vocally, tend to have blocked throat chakras. Blocked chakras create dis-ease on the different bodies (energy, physical, mental, and emotional).
