Scooter-pootin' the 'hood with his nose in the air, wind in his ears, and a snerled up lip, takin' in all the scenery...
L: Ahhh, dis fwesh air iz de bestest, Dad.
D: Ya like that, huh?
L: Oh yes! An' so menny fings to see!
M: Let's stop at the creek Bridge and see if we can find our turtle friend.🐢
L: Yeh, Dad! Kin we?
D: Yep, I'll pull over right next to the guard rail so you can see down in the water.
(stops and Louie peeks over the edge)
L: (pointing to the water) Dere he is! I'mma sees 'im!
D: That's him. See him poking his little head above water to say "hi"?
L: (nods vigorously) Uh-huh! (waves to the turtle) Good tuh sees ya again! Habs a good day!

They tool on down the road enjoying the day when suddenly Louie grabs Dad by the arm.
L: Dad! STOP! What de...??? (points out in a field)
D: What's wrong? What are you looking at?
L: (in awe) I'mma be's dad-gummed. I'mma neber did knows dat!
D: (completely baffled) What??? What are you carrying on about??
L: (purses his lips and simply points to the field)
D: I can see the field, but what are you so worked up about?

Slim and I are working with him and anyone that knows herding dogs know how smart they are and he sure is. He needs something to do not just sit around looking good.
