And there she goes! Ashe enjoying some much needed freedom to run! This is called “long” leash time! It’s a longer leash that’s used with a collar to allow our babies a little more freedom! They can run and explore the shelter grounds a little more freely - but we still have some control over them! This is her absolute funnest thing to do! Is there someone out there with a yard for her to run around in? If so, please let us know!
Another post about our sweet Ashe! This girl loves her squeaky ball, her pool and her buddy Doogie! In this video - you’ll see her go to the gate and when she does - she sees that orange collar attached to the “long” leash! And this she loves more than anything because it offers her some freedom! (It looks likes she’s saying - come on mom!). After getting a brief video in the playyard - she was taken to the shelter yard and allowed to run! That video will be tomorrow! Our girl needs a home! We’re posting videos every day this week hoping we will catch the attention of her person! PLEASE SHARE!!
We were asked if Ashe was good with other dogs! As with people- she has some that she really loves and some she doesn’t care for too much! Here’s one she really loves - her BFF Doogie! She loves his brother, Duncan, too!
Who doesn’t love a good ole back scratching- even if you have to give it to yourself?! Ashe - as you can see - is a pro! We’re hoping and praying to find someone that can provide her a yard of her own so she can scratch her back whenever she wants! If you would like to provide that yard - please let us know!
Our beautiful girl Ashe has been gracing us with her presence since 5/3/23! Yes - well OVER a year! So we decided we would make her the Queen of the shelter! Every queen needs a robe and crown. We didn’t get to the crown part because as soon as we adorned her with the robe - she immediately sought out our approval for how beautiful she looked!😊 Special thanks to Abigail and Addison Wheat for their assistance! Look at how excited our girl is! Even though she’s been in the shelter so long - she hasn’t lost faith! She smiles and runs and plays and knows that she is loved! BUT - how much more awesome would it be for her to have her very own family to love and play with! If you are interested in giving Ashe her very own family - please let us know!

Two of the cutest and sweetest boys around! Greg (brown) and Boyzee enjoying their time out of their kennel! They decided that while they are waiting on their forever home, they might as well have some fun! Greg is a black mouth cur mix and Boyzee is a red heeler mix! They are both neutered and up to date on their vaccinations! Their adoption fee is $100! If you would like to meet them, please message the page and we will introduce you to some really cool dogs!

The saddest boy ever - Doogie - when it’s time to go in. This is in the morning when it’s breakfast time. He doesn’t care - he doesn’t want to go! He and his brother Duncan have been at the shelter way too long. They were just pups when they were dumped and they have grown up in the shelter. We give them as much outside time as we can - but for Doogie - it’s just not enough. But he’s a good boy and when we put the leash on - he doesn’t fight us! He reluctantly follows us inside! If you are interested in giving this boy more outside time - please let us know!

Journey: Hey mom - wanna see me run fast, fast?
Shelter Mom: Yes, I do
Journey: ok, here I go!
Shelter Mom: Are you having fun?
Journey: Yes ma’am! I wish I had a big ole yard I could run around in ALL the time!
Shelter Mom: I know! We’re certainly trying to find you one!
Journey: Will you show everyone how happy I am running fast, fast and will you tell them that I will be the bestest girl?
Shelter Mom: Yes, Journey, I will! I’ll even say a little prayer that the right person sees this video and wants to come meet your beautiful self!
Journey: Thanks, Mom
Shelter Mom: You’re welcome! I love you!
If you would like to meet this gorgeous, silly girl, please let us know!

Doogie on the long leash - exploring with a little freedom! He’s available for adoption - is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations! He is about one year old and is a cur mix! He - like all of our other dogs - has been in the shelter for far too long! He needs some room to run! His adoption fee is $100! If you’re interested- please let us know!
We’ve been walking the dogs on a longer leash - letting them enjoy a little more freedom on their walks. This girl took full advantage of the situation! To see that “smile” on her face - put a smile on ours! Ashe has been with us for almost a year! A year in the same kennel, the same playyard, the same scenery. She’s seen so many come and go - but she still remains - with a smile on her face! Her adoption fee is $100 and covers her spay and vaccinations! PLEASE SHARE so we can find someone that will take a chance on this girl!
All the pups got a fluffy today in celebration of the 4th of July! Tomorrow I’ll show y’all how it snows in July!🤣🤣🤣

Happy Fourth of July from these two sweet boys!!
Doogie and Duncan - two beautiful boys that have grown up in our shelter! Doogie (brindle) doesn’t want to go back inside the shelter anymore! He would rather stay outside in the heat. We don’t blame him! He and Duncan have been in the shelter for EIGHT MONTHS! And no one has come to meet them ! We guess because they are just your typical ole hound dog! Nothing fancy - just two good ole dogs! Their adoption fee is $100. They are neutered and up to date on their vaccinations! Someone PLEASE come meet these boys!

Our babies headed to the playyard! They get so excited when their kennel gate is opened because they know they are going to see their friends - at least for a little while. Greg (tan), Ariel (black), and Elsa (brown) are growing up in our shelter. They need homes so bad. Ariel and Elsa are lab mixes. Greg is a black mouth cur mix who we originally thought was a German Shepherd mix. Their adoption fee is $100 and will cover their spay/neuter when they are six months old. It will also cover their vaccines. If you would like to keep them from growing up in the shelter, please message our page so we can schedule an appointment.

A friendly game of keep away with the new toy! Claire Bear (white) and Ponie are such great dogs! They get along so well with all of their shelter friends- but they like to spend time together - seeing who can out maneuver the other! They play momma to the pups and keep them in line when they are all together! They are both available for adoption and would both make great companions! Their adoption fee is $100 which covers their spay and vaccinations! If you would like to meet them, please message our page!

We used to call him little Alfie - but we can’t do that anymore! This beautiful boy has grown up. He’s about 9 months old, is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations! He’s sweet and loves to play and especially loves the pool! He does NOT do well with chickens! But he does do well with other dogs and kids! His adoption fee is $100! If you would like to meet this boy - please message our page!

This is Ariel! Our first attempt at leash training with her resulted in something similar to a bucking bull! She’s doing so good now! She’s a lab mix and she’s available for adoption! If you would like to meet her, please let us know!

We’ve been doing a little leash training with our pups! This is Elsa. It took several attempts to get her comfortable walking on the leash - but she is doing a great job now! Look at her eyes! She is simply stunning. If you would like to continue her leash training - let us know! We’ll make an appointment so you can see how beautiful and laid back she is in real life!

What could be better than a new squeaky ball and a pool? Just ask Ashe! This girl is locked up most of the day - so she definitely takes advantage of the finer things in life. Ashe is one of the overlooked ones. She’s a pit - so she’s oh so scary - right? Wrong - she’s not scary at all. She gets along with most dogs - although she is partial to males! We had a 4 and 5 year old volunteer so we “kid” tested her! We gave them “her” ball and she didn’t flinch - she just waited for them to throw it for her. I didn’t get a video of it - but she was definitely not scary to them! She passed with flying colors! She needs a home - just like the rest of our dogs - but it’s her turn - she’s been here the longest! So all we can do is post her, pray for her, and ask y’all to share!
It’s officially summer when the pools are set up! And we definitely have some water babies! Claire Bear, Fiona, and Ariel took advantage of the nice cool water on this hot summer day! They all three are available for adoption along with some more cutesy pups and some pretty cool bigger dogs! They all need love and a home! If you would like to meet them - please message us and we will schedule you an appointment! And as always - please share! The more shares we have - the more people see our babies!
Our Ashe girl got some special time with our two new volunteers! She is prancing with her new toy showing off in front of her new friends - looking around to see if her shelter friends see her!😊. Our girl has a little something wrong with her skin (mixed with a little mud from the playyard) - but that does not take away from her special personality! And her sweet disposition makes her beautiful in our eyes! This girl loves attention and belly rubs! She needs a home! She is currently our longest resident!
