Sometimes you just get the perfect video! And it may not be perfect to some - but to this shelter mom it is perfect. This boy, Duncan, loves his toy and is so proud when he gets to play with it. He doesn’t know that I get as much pleasure watching him as he does playing! Our boy needs a home where he can play as much as he wants! If you can provide that - please let us know! It’s really sad for us to have to make a second post, within a week of each other, about dogs who have been in our shelter for a year. But here we are - telling y’all about two, very awesome brothers, who are longing for their very own family! Today is the one year anniversary of “gotcha” day for Duncan and Doogie. But this is not a happy celebration for them. It’s one year to the day that they were abandoned!! As with Journey, we are shocked that these sweet boys haven’t been scooped up. To give them a little something extra for their not so special day, we decided to let them have long leash time together. It didn’t work out like we had hoped because they got tangled up a little at first and then the mosquitoes were about to pack us off - but here’s a video of them hanging out together in the “big yard”! We love these two big guys and we know you would love them too - if you just gave them a chance! Please let us know if you would like to give them a home!! Please share!!!
On this day - one year ago - this beautiful creature came to be a resident of the Oakdale Dog Shelter. We are amazed that this gorgeous, fun loving, sweetheart of a dog is still gracing us with her presence! But she’s still here - waiting for that special person to come through the gates and take her to her very own home where she can play as much as she wants to! Journey holds a special place in our hearts because we have seen her grow into such an amazing dog. She makes our hearts fill with joy when we see her free spirit come alive with a new toy! To get your Saturday off to a good start! We hope you enjoy watching these two as much as we did! We had so much fun takin videos - but I may have to invest in a sit & spin - because they like to go around and around! Jackee (black/tan) although the smallest - is the quickest. She gives her sister Raven a hard time when it comes to playing keep away! Both are silly girls who love to play! Raven likes snuggles better than Jackee. Jackee likes to give some love - but wants it done quickly so she can move on to antagonizing her sisters! Both are looking for their future BFF!
